I think that everyone that is really intrested in bidding on such an expensive and booted records would send an e-mail to the seller to confirm its authenticity. I know I would.
A strange thing happened to me a couple of years ago.
I met a black guy from the us and we talked and he found out that I was into soul music. He then said he was Etta James's son and told me lots of things about her and asked me what tracks I liked.
He just nodded his head and got his penis out and showed me and tried to give me a hug!
I got a little put of and went home to bed (alone).
Later found out that he was'nt her son at all but it's something I always remember when I hear her name.
Thanks for the info!
Will definately check out Vol. 3, just did'nt know there was one!
It's been my favourite track over the last year and everyone I play it to loves it too.

Hi,
found this track on the Kent compilation Dave Hamiltons Detroit Dancers Vol. 2.
Have'nt heard a track this fantastic in a very long time and wondering if it is released on vinyl in any form or if it just exists on cd?
Cheers!

I have seen two different versions of the label; one with Gaiee Records + address written at the top of the label and one that has Gaiee written in a circle around the label + published by Motown Record Corporation.
Is there anything else released on Gaiee?
For me it was the Queens Hall in Stoke 2001.
An almost religious experience for a swedish novice like me at the time (and still is!).
I remember going home in the morning to try to get a couple of hours sleep (did'nt work of course) before going to an alldayer.
Wish we could do that here in Sweden too!
Really interesting reading!
I love to read stories from old venues (especially Wigan!) that I never had a chance to go to and has taken almost mythical proportions.
Thanks Steve!
There was a four track EP released last year with some indie bands doing northern covers.
It was called "More soul than Wigan Casino"!
Kicker - Since you left
The Butterflies of love - Two lovers
Comet Gain - If you ever walk out of my life
Airport Girl - Lipstick traces (on a cigarette)
They are all quite horrible though I think Comet Gain's version has got a bit of charm.
Read in the sleeve notes of the Renfro cd that Bobby Wisdom actually was a young white guy still in musical college.
Ok record but nothing special in my opinion..
I would like to have a bigger scene here in Sweden.
We have some die hard soulies but it's not enough to have vital scene like in the uk.
But I'm optimistic that it will change!
Really hard to pick my favorites tracks by Jackie but I'll try to do a top 3 for tonight:
1. I'm the one to do it (Better than Lavern Bakers version IMO)
2. Whispers..
3. I've lost you
Could do a new top three every week. An absolutely fabulous artist!
Absolutely fantastic clip!
If I were 40 years younger and gay there would be no doubt about it!
Thanks Pete for this and all the other fantastic clips these past days!
Keep it up!
The one I bought from Ted wich was the exact copy that Richard Searling had covered up at the casino has Reave Watkins in the credits so I guess that that was the first issue.
But as the record was pressed in the sixties but played in the seventies I can't be 100% sure.
Fantastic playlist but these four I think is absolutely fabulous tunes!
Wish I could have been there with the other swedes wich seems to have had a great weekend.
Just the antifeministic Milton Parker track that I've never understood the fuzz about.
That would be me!
Still got it and I also saved the letter with its history as I've learned to do watching the Swedish version of The Antiques Roadshow.
This is not going very well so i´m lowering the price to £200 incl p & p or best offer!
I´m in desperate need for cash for Wiman Casino this weekend.
Cheers
