  1. Strange. Because for me it's one of the worst songs i've ever heard played on the scene! But maybe if I heard it in a diffrent environment than just at home it would be another thing. (But I don't think so) Have'nt ever heard it out in a venue.
  2. Works for me. I'm using this: https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/auction/newli...tionItemID=2800 Just change the numbers at the end.
  3. Tony Troutman - What's The Use & Bill Brandon - The Streets Got My Lady. Both great songs but I just can't dance to them. I just can't find the rhythm in some strange way.
  4. When are the police taking actions against this guy?
  5. I'll recommend The Four Tops first LP. With the LP only tracks Don't Turn Away & Tea House In China town. Both 10 times better than the cover versions!
  6. Kitch played this in Stockholm in may. I love it! Top 20 for me. I've always wondered if it's ok to play this on the white label? I think it is ok since it is completely unreleased. What's the general opinion on this? Too bad the test press has bad sound. I bought mine from Manship and i think I read that at least 200 were pressed.
  7. On Donoyia. Price, £300-400 maybe?
  8. I'm with you! As long as you're not into beat mixing I really don't see the point in using headphones. I know I don't want to rub my records back and forth just to cue them in! And it's nice to have a couple of seconds between the records so the dancers can rest and do some applauds!
  9. My favourite is Richard Coombs - Tammie from Dave Hamilton's Detroit Dancers Vol. 2. Perfection!
  10. I can't say for sure as I was'nt there but I heard that a DJ here in Sweden put on the theme to Grease. He got thrown out with his records and all!
  11. I hope that it will never happen! Speculating in money/records is for capitalists who don't have a heart.
  12. An other side of this question is how much northern soul costs companies. I'm thinking of all the time that is lost by peple looking on lists, Ebay etc when they should be working.
  13. How do you know the blue issue is later than the red one? I've heard this too but never heard why people are so shure. Maybe the pressing plant just ran out of blue/red ink.
  14. Thanks Sebastian! Always great with people who share good sounds. Most of them are new to me.
  15. "Today I've been mostly playing": Wizdom - I'm so in love with you, Drive Sister Sledge - Easier to love, Cotillon Chappells - Help me somebody, Bedford Yambu - Sunny, Montuno Carl Henderson - That girl, Renfro Chuck Cissel - Don't tell me you're sorry, Arista Robert Taylor - So much love, Al Teen Larry Brown - Breking Training, Fireworks Eddie Carlton - It will be done / Misery, Swan And now I'm off to Soulastatic here in Gothenburg!
  16. I just have to give you big compliments for your Ebay auctions! Even if I mostly don't have an intention to buy it's a pleasure to just look and listen to them. I bet you get a lot more bidders this way!
  17. My view: Of course it's Northern! Northern soul is a subculture and a dance scene and if a tune is played repeatedly it's a part of that scene. If I like the song or not is not the question and even if I like some of Levine's new songs they are not Northern Soul until they have had plays on the scene.
  18. In a thread some time ago Eddie Billups - Shake Off That Dream was mentioned. Came out on Helpp, Garpax, Seventy 7 and Solid Gold. Two different takes/mixes though I think.
  19. I'm not sure but I think that Shirley Brown - Even If The Signs Are Wrong is unissued or cd only.
  20. 2 records wanted: Gene Marhall - One Shirt The Inspirations - No one else can take your place (70's Breakthrough version)
  21. Hope he's getting better! Met him when he was here in Sweden and in Cleethorpes 2001. Best dancer I've ever seen and a really nice guy!
  22. These are my favourites too! Espescially when you are a bit drunk it's easy to put the record on. They just slip into place! I also got my father to make a pair in solid teflon. They are even smoother!
  23. Hmmm. OK then!
  24. It was £50 and to Sweden!
