  1. He has a members/semi illegal blues club here in Gothenburg 10-15 years ago. He played with his band every saturday night. Very nice guy! Not to be confused with King George on Audio Arts.
  2. The Autographs - Love's Gonna Do You In. On a yellow Joker label.
  3. It's Otis Clay -Holding On To A Dying Love
  4. A 70's instrumental from me. Rare style but not a rare record. "Linda Williams - Oh Honey"
  5. A great guy! First met him in a caravan in Cleethorpes and he's been over in Sweden a couple of times too.
  6. Thank a lot for the tip! Great show and group! Watching the episode on The Delfonics now.
  7. Will pay £250 for a mint copy.
  8. I've got the multicouloured issue on vinyl with the (west coast?) Monarch #.
  9. Yes my issue too! Just forgot to include the "x"..
  10. Both sides of Donnell Brown on Brown & Brown. Too Late To Cry and With Love We'll Make It. Also Locke's Theme on Atco!
  11. Pretty sure they are both originals. At least they are sold as such. I'm sure there's someone that knows better so don't take my word for it! My issue has a Monarch delta #54680 Also this is actually Frank Wilson.
  12. I've been collecting Northern for about 15 years. Can't say I get the same thrill today when I get a record in the post like I did 10 years ago. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. You just get used to things. The first time you bought a £100 tune was something else! Maybe the next step is a £1000 record?
  13. Sideshow - Lonely Girl / You Are The One For Me, Trey Will pay £350 for an M- copy SORTED.
  14. I was thinking about £230 for a mint copy of the Internationals and £150 -200 for The Four Thoughts.
  15. Four Thoughts - Kisses & roses, Womar Internationals - Beautiful Philosophy, D'ar At least Ex condition please. Internationals SORTED!
  16. A late happy birthday from Sweden! We miss you. Lots of hugs from Björn & Dara!
  17. That is really one sound to be proud about! On my top five ever!
  18. Also by Slam Creepers in 1967. A Swedish band led by Bj¶rn Skifs who later had a Billboard #1 with Hooked On A Feeling in 1974!
  19. George Perkins would be my top choice too! For me it's the very definition of crossover and so soulful "I could cryyyy"!
  20. 116 / 117 Christian Plique - Hot Foxy Woman / The Stripper
  21. Tried it once. Ordered three copies of Dwight Thompson - Man Oh Man for 9 euros each. It was just when it was starting to get popular so I only recieved one copy that i kept fo myself. Point is that I'm just not record dealer at all. I'm sure that if I had got all thre I would have given them away.
  22. From the first time I heard about Dave he has been one of my heroes. Just like me he was an atheist, vegan and socialist. I loved the way he wrote about soul music! Because of him soul music became "important" culture just like upper class things like classical music and opera. Of course this can be seen as both good and bad but I think he's made a great contribution in giving soul music the credit it deserves!
  23. Went to my first Northern club in 2000 but had been into "ordinary" soul for a couple of years by then so 6-10 for me.
  24. The exact same thing happend to me too when I posted a want! Everything worked out fine in the end but it just makes everything a bit annoying waiting for answers that never comes and to get back to people that you already rejected. But I won't let it bother me. I don't know the reason for unanswered messages and also I am a very tolerant and forgiving person.
