    Like them both a lot. J'may's slightly tougher lead voice edges it for me but Smokie can certainly hold a tune. I wonder what the connection between the artists is here and how they came to "share" the backing track?

    There is a strong resemblance to Lulu. She's OK. I wouldn't pitch it any higher than that.

    Another cracking hour of music. Some great picks, Phillip Mitchell, Leela James, Candi Staton, Lee Fields and Robert Cray are standouts. Just terrific. Thanks Scott, please keep it going. Your podcast is essential listening.

    Barry, Been listening to and downloading your show for ages now. It really is a treat. The Deep Soul and Gospel numbers are always a standout for me. Really appreciate the effort you make in putting them together.
