I just did a site search for "Monarch pressings" and read the various threads it supplied.
As the "A" side is "Ain't it right" could the scratched run-out mark OM 419 1B possibly denote that it was a Bestway product ? , another styrene moulding plant which would cover both the 'different plant' and 'east/west' options.
From the Beeb five minutes ago ...
"In Stewartby, High Street, Great Barford, Green Lane, are all still closed, along with Harrold, Oakley, Felmersham and Radwell bridges."
Well according to John's description under the video there is nothing to suggest that it's anything but genuine so I'd have to be in the different plant/label camp rather than it being an incredibly well made counterfeit.
Nobody would go to the lengths to make such an effort to copy the 45 and make such a glaring error on the label.
No mention of a difference in his 'bible' just an entry for the mythical A&M release , maybe it's one that's slipped the net regarding different pressing plants or East/West variations ?
Please let us know if he does come up with any info on it , or maybe he'll see the thread and jump straight in and save a phonecall. @Theresa
I nearly gave it a miss as the series "Gotham" got too silly towards the latter stages and I gave up on it.
I must have missed "The Batman" somewhere along the line so thanks for the nudge in the right direction , that's today's 'greyday' entertainment sorted ...
Well seeing as my journey on the so-called scene started after said bingo hall closed , at the Oddfellows and TOTW , and I've spent the majority of it in a dingy red basement I'll let you decide ...
Just watched the first episode , a one hour pilot , of the new series "The Penguin".
Gotham based show but without the usual comic book style , thoroughly enjoyable start , and I had no clue as to the lead actor until I googled the cast ...
Latest one on Popsike made £2472 , the previous one made just £414 ... !

If one of the very talented restorers down at the V&A or Courtauld Institute could remove the grafitti from the label it would be worth a silly sum , it pains me deeply every time I see the lovely clean flip to think how it should look.
I rest my case ...
Time for you to join the ranks of the NSVHPA and start your own fantastic Derby and Joan night.
(Northern Soul Village Hall Promoters Association)
He's probably just played twenty tunes that ain't in the "Top 500" that the "mainstream" crowd have never heard.
Don't forget the important point that everyone misses , the norvern soul' scene died and disappeared in 1981 with the close of some bingo hall oop north and remained lost until some enterprising yoof in Bristol resuscitated it and restarted the whole thing some 40-odd years later.
