It's an auction item FFS , the person with the greatest desire to own an item along with the deepest pockets will always win over someone with an equal desire but less cash to spend , always has been that way regardless of the nature of the big-ticket item being auctioned , always will be.
If you are hunting down the big ticket items on e-bay or JM then you will always be banging heads with the wealthiest laziest buyers and always coming off second best.

An all time favourite of mine , had one since the eighties but rarely hear it played out these days .
I guess that today's DJ's think they are being kind to the old punters legs and tickers ...
Some are certainly scarcer numbers wise than originals , still worth fu*k-all though really despite the silly prices some tools pay these days , I've a number in my box that fetch £50-100 these days but they're still just the boots I paid a quid for .... that said the originals of them have gone mental of late so I guess it's all relative ...
