Couple of 'test' shots with the new camera , I picked up an "as new" EOS 2000D from MPB for the wildlife and aircraft side of things , but obviously I had to try it out on the end of a 'scope too ... The woodpecker's a crop of about 1/4 of the original 6000 x 4000 image.

Each to their own I guess Alison. I stick with my original opinion , I guess some of us aren't as easily blinded as others by today's emphasis on dyed hair , perfect teeth and CGI as sleight of hand used to try and disguise a badly written , badly acted rehash of the original movie , that even regurgitates the cheesy one liners that were dotted through the first one and fun one time. Just wringing every last drop of cash out of an idea to line TC's pockets is not something I'm impressed with hence why I'd never pay to see it . "Emperor's New Clothes" and all that.

Was waiting for the Spitfire to appear over the trees ( could hear his Merlin growling from miles away ) when this fella kinda distracted me ... Knocked up a quick animation in Moviemaker of the 20 odd frames.

Just knocked up a quick animation from the 28 frames I caught as he turned for home overhead ... Generally they just fly by straight and level so the timing was a tad lucky today ... P.S The thumbnail's a shot I snatched earlier , unfortunately he wasn't as close this afternoon ...

Am I missing something ... ? That's a Hercules. You'd need a slightly longer focal length to see two Lancasters in the air as there are only two flying examples in the world and "Vera" is in Hamilton , Ontario ... she and our own BBMF Lanc haven't been in the air together since 2014.
