  1. Same source as the recent Arthur Prysock 45 , looks a decidedly iffy set-up to me but I'm sure someone knows different as they're both still available on D'cogs.
  2. I can only barely imagine the chaos that would ensue if a bunch of three parts p*ssed , overweight , 60+ punters started that kind of malarkey round the Tower Ballroom , pint in one hand and selfie-stick in t'other ...
  3. It's exactly the point , 'line dancing' in a 'disco' to a white disco record alongside all the other sheep is perfectly acceptable I think ... but it's exactly the kind of thing 'we' avoided like the plague in favour of obscure soul tunes , in dark dingy halls , full of characters you'd cross the street to avoid on a mid-week morning.
  4. The Bee Gees were black american ... you live and learn ...
  5. I blame a complete lack of imagination/individuality and cheap beer ...
  6. New to the airwaves is the long-awaited TV adaptation of the brilliant "Shardlake" series of novels. Sadly the author C J Sansom lost his 12 year battle with cancer just last week ...
  7. If it were a 'test pressing' then it would carry the very same runout stamps as the issued 45 , given that the purpose of doing test pressings is to make sure the stampers were in order and damage free before running off a volume of records.
  8. Why so coy , it's common knowledge who did them , it was discussed in a very long thread on here when they appeared , a simple site search will take anyone there ...
  9. Sorry , yes they both are , real and boot ...
  10. They're brand new modern vinyl , the whole set are.
  11. These were from the "friends and family" package that Ian Latrine had pressed a few years back.
  12. Look for the raised reversed "M.S.I. Co" stamp under the label , a la The Epitome of Sound on Sandbag . If it's there it's real , if it isn't it's not.
  13. Cheers Simon , I never noticed there was a Season Two ...
  14. Sadly 40" flares these days refers to the waist measurement ...
  15. And wonderful knitted stripey waistcoats too , as modelled by the chap selling records , sorry whoever you might be ...
  16. Just seen this in the latest catalogue I had sent through from Omega Auctions , an original colour poster and a patch for sale. And also a lot of record boxes for sale , Lots 600A - 600B - 600C. Not connected to me by the way. https://bid.omegaauctions.co.uk/auction/lot/lot-229---northern-soul-interest---original-1980-wigan-casino-poster-and-badge/?lot=50010&so=0&st=&sto=0&au=155&ef=&et=&ic=False&sd=0&pp=96&pn=3&g=1
  17. According to this , yes. http://rockradioscrapbook.ca/ckb-mar8.html
  18. Well that's killed my appetite in one fell swoop ... and I was so looking forward to ham , egg and chips too ...
  19. Finally got a patch of blue to play in after an age of grey ... Awful seeing but found 26 frames to stack from 400 shot. Canon 6D + Evostar 150 + 2x Barlow + Baader ND3.8 +Oiii.
  20. Another that slipped under my radar but is a must see film with fabulous performances by among other Timothy Spall , Jesse Buckley and Olivia Coleman. "Wicked Little Letters"
  21. Just seen this snippet of tripe on YouTube ...
  22. Just seen this posted on Facebook ...
  23. Midjourney images are identifiable at a hundred paces , even now ... if the music equivalent isn't the same , even in the future , I'll be surprised . And it'll need advances in both spheres to come up with a convincing 45 ... Master Latrine will be all over it though ...
  24. Can of worms ..... more like a skip full of sewage ...
