  1. Give Roger Banks a try - he had some .
  2. Just landed here - Betty Everett ‘Killer Diller’ 7’’ Ep (33rpm) with pic sleeve . Side A has 50s alternative takes - ‘Killer Diller’ , ‘Ain’t gonna cry’ & ‘My love’. Side B has early 60s sides ‘Why did you have to go’ , ‘I’ll be there’ & ‘I’ve got a claim on you’ Released on El Toro . https://www.eltororecords.com/El-Toro-R-B/BETTY-EVERETT-KILLER-DILLER-VINYL-CD::449.html?language=en
  3. One of the best recent releases imo . Ltd press ‘White’ originals (released March 2019?) shooting up in price , plenty of ‘yellow’ represses at sub £10 tho .
  4. That’s great to know Carole - welcome to the (exclusive) owners club .
  5. Hope so , fingers x’d
  6. And in a similar vein , from 2010 , Jo Stance ‘hey girl’ . Lucky to get an early copy of this one and played it as an unknown at Blackpool Tower on the walkway. Immediate dance floor reaction and applause . Then as a request from many, played it again as final record to another rapturous applause ...
  7. Yes . Fab 2005 release on Melting Pot . Remember championing it on release and still sounds great . One for a revival ?
  8. Didn’t they just . Hits the mark for me every time and still in the play box .
  9. Sandy Barber ‘I think I’ll do some stepping (on my own)’ . Opolopo rework . Modern , superb imo , but certainly not as expensive as some elusive & desirable ‘northern’. https://www.discogs.com/Sandy-Barber-I-Think-Ill-Do-Some-Stepping-On-My-Own-Opolopo-Rework/release/11171422 Seems 10 done as promos by BBE in 2015 . (Although 20 quoted elsewhere ). Understand Mark Randle has one , one in Australia , a lucky purchaser commenting on Discogs plus mine . Only other I’ve ever seen for sale was on Darren Brown’s auction site and £400 seems to ring a bell . No idea where others are as other owners don’t seem to play them out ?
  10. I guess the Diggin’ Deep 45s qualify . Ltd press . Selling out as pre releases . If any subsequently come up for resale on here , they’ll fly due to demand from those who missed out . https://www.diggin-deep.com/
  11. Sold out v quickly . Wilson Williams ‘I think it’s gonna work out fine ‘ (crates of soul) . £200 plus https://www.discogs.com/Wilson-Williams-I-Think-Its-Gonna-Work-Out-Fine-/release/6352079
  12. Price wise , SouLutions ‘listen’ one here https://www.discogs.com/SouLutions-Listen/release/5922142
  13. Paul , as I understand it’s a bit of a lottery what titles and how many partaking RSD shops get. You did well and I guess also got more of some than other larger City Centre stores . Still surprised tho as to what you had left which is great news to many on here who were disappointed elsewhere & now seeing eBay ,Discogs etc prices .
  14. This might help . For those buying, 12’’ attractive £wise . https://www.discogs.com/Frank-Popp-Ensemble-Hip-Teens-Dont-Wear-Blue-Jeans/master/108409

  17. ANDY BELLWOODS’ A CELLAR FULL OF SOUL’. APRIL 2019 New/recent releases, 7ts, Jamaican, Motown, Northern & rarer, x-over, deep soul etc. were all featured in Andys’ weekly radio shows so far during April. Hopefully this mix gives a flavour of the vinyl diversity which went out over the airwaves. One to mention is the track ‘another day’, which comes from a new 5 track 10” featuring various reggae artistes, inspired by and sampling ‘What’s going on’, with spoken word from one of the Funk Brothers during the intro. Poignant, as this release coincided with what would have been Marvin Gaye’s 80th birthday, (April 2nd). https://m.mixcloud.com/andybellwood/andy-bellwoods-a-cellar-full-of-soul-april-2019/
  18. Looking for this one . Visual cond not so important just needs to play well (for radio show ) . pms please .
  19. Nothing but praise for Record Revivals , Scarborough. Their principles for RSD etc are exemplary imo . For last years RSD they didn’t get stock for the Steve Ellis 45 yet went that extra mile and then managed to get me one at cost .
  20. Hi Mick , understand from on here 1000 pressed so RSD demand didn't exceed availability on some partaking shops on the day. Hence now only a few ££s more on eBay etc . Record Revivals in Scarborough had some left at original RSD price . Nice to have imo tho finishes rather abruptly .
