Andybellwood commented on Mike's article in News Archives
Just got mine - brilliant read from cover to cover and great article from John Hellier -
Sounded wonderful when I gave the demo a spin on Mondays’ radio show
-
Didn’t this used to be the club name for Stuart Greens ‘ club night in the City Screen basement venue which featured Hammond driven grooves amongst others ? Must give this event at the Lowther a go , but unfortunately not this one as away . Hope it goes well .

Our 1st event for a while so a bit apprehensive but as it transpired just so good to be back at a venue , not least the incredible SoSa at Hoochie Coochie , Newcastle . Queue outside prior to 4pm opening and very very busy . Air-conditioning, that amazing sound system and friendly /welcoming atmosphere & upmarket club vibe always makes these monthly events rather special . Great rarer and x-over early door tunes from Dave Hancock including the new in demand Bobby Harden release (Dala) and didn’t the forthcoming Lou Pride 45 sound so good . Judging by the reaction, Gabriels ‘love & hate ..’ looks like becoming a new dance floor monster. Some crowd pleasing 7ts and Motown from Micky tho young Alex’s opening spot wasn’t for me with his take on ‘hard disco’ and Studio 54 sounds, but clearly was for some, so credit to Alex for bringing something else to the mix. Looking forward to next months Sosa already .
