also get the bobby womack 'looking for a love' lp as it's got womacks rather fine original version on it as well as other quality tracks

if you can't find that, you could try something by the Eagles or Doobie Brothers, probably easier to find and has a similar effect on your ears

whether they were bootlegs or reissues, gwen mcrae, both dysons faces and jimmy conwell have been reissued as i have owned them all. i believe jimmy conwell lp was a jap one, it may have even had blues interactions or the like at the bottom of the sleeve or label. 'melody of life' was repressed a few years back as a look-a-like, you can tell from the sheen on the label it's not an original, rhythym machine is definitely a reissue/boot. dysons faces are well known as being reissued, and have just been reissued again only last week. cheers Sutty
