  8. Heart Breaking. She was so excited about the up coming projects. Plus her birthday was coming up.
  9. My favorite song that she has lead on. You Are The Heart Of Me.
  10. Thats great news. I was listening to the show where Eddie was talking about it. I'm glad this ended well for him.
  11. I've never heard this. Thanks for posting. I 100% agree with you that after the 70's his output was not same. For me I guess it's the more modern sound of the music from 80 on, as it just not even come close to what we heard from him for the most part.
  12. Willie Hutch - I Wish You Love Been playing this non stop lately.
  13. Just One More Day.mp4 Just One More Day
  14. It's been a couple of years since I've heard this show. Does Barry Fowden still do the show? The last I remember was he was going to take a break from the show, but did he decide to no longer do it?

    RIP Aretha

  16. I had to keep my eye on my Father this past weekend as I found out that he wasn't drinking enough water and I notice he was fatigue. I asked him how much water did he have and he told me only half a bottle that day. I told him even if you are not hot or thirsty, you have to keep yourself hydrated. Specially at his age. You would be surprised how valuable a sip of water can be to your body. Speedy recovery to Eddie Levert. He puts everything into his singing performance, so he definitely needs to keep water near him on stage. Want to see him performing for years to come.
  17. I feel very depressed after reading this. She has been a part of my life since before I could remember. My mom played many records by her as I was growing up. The past year and a half it's been hard to play my records since I've lost my mom back in 2016. Almost feels like I'm going through that time again, specially seeing that picture of from the Elton John show last year. That was so hard to look at as it reminded me of the last months of my Mothers life.
  18. I believe these DVD's are just various clips from different shows and not full episodes that people like myself are looking for. I mean it's better than nothing I suppose. Me I would love to own the first five seasons with all the episodes in their entirety.
  19. I just received the sad news about Yvonne Staples. In Loving Memory: Yvonne Staples View this email in your browser The Stax Museum of American Soul Music mourns the passing of one of our Stax Records Family members, Yvonne Staples. Along with her family, the Staple Singers, Yvonne contributed her soulful voice to some of the most indelible music in history. We will miss you. READ MORE
  20. So Soon We Change - David Ruffin
  21. I received this news in my email from Daptone earlier today. Was Charles sick? I can't believe Daptone lost their two biggest stars in less than a year.
  22. Fantastic interview. Thank you for posting it.
  23. Hello, it's been awhile since I've posted on these forums. A lot has been going on in my life right now. My mother's health is not doing well atm so a lot of my attention is dealing with her situation. A lot of times music was always my get away. Unfortunately this is a little too much to get away from. For awhile I didn't even turn on any of my equipment. This weekend has been better than the last few weeks. Last couple of days I was able to relax my mind for the first time in months and I just start browsing the internet and check out a few shows that I listen to. From that, I was feeling up to recording a set and just wanted to share it with you good folks over here. This will probably be the last upload I do on mixcloud for the foreseeable future. I'm not sure what the future holds right now to be honest, but hopefully I will be able to resume life as it was at some point. I hope you all enjoy and hope to be back browsing and maybe participating in the conversations again one day.
  24. Looking forward to getting my hands on this. Looks like a excellent tribute to Bob. As far as less tracks on the LP, I find strange. Numero used to do the opposite and put more tracks on the LP than the CD. That's disappointing to see as I was thinking about getting the vinyl.
