    Bought the "Dreamer" LP 30-odd years ago and for me, this was always the standout track, full of emotion, very restrained in some sections and absolutely full on in others, this may just be my all-time favourite Patti LaBelle & the Blubells record - great choice.

    Well, here's a theory: woman's partner is a bit "quick on the draw", so she takes him to a motel for a bit of fantasy role play. She plays the hooker and he plays the client "treating me like I'm for sale" and , away from the home environment, without the attendant pressures, he can afford to take his time - "what's your hurry baby?". On reflection, I've spent far too long thinking about this record!

    Can't get link to paste but there's an AGP issue on p20 of the "70s & crossover" section of Midas Touch records for £20 if the one on the other site has gone. When you get your copy, flip it over for "I'm Just An Average Guy" - slower but just as good IMO.
