My Love's A Monster - Johnny Sayle's might just qualify.
I have the film on DVD and every now and then I put it on in the background, more to hear the music and voices of my youth rather than to watch, having to listen to the multitudinous babblings of many nations on the Costa del Sol on a daily basis it makes me miss the insanity of the Northern scene enormously. Elaine did a job that I don't think anyone else would have had the stamina to do because she wasn't there, most of us that survived are nearing pension age and probably wouldn't know where to start on such a project, even if we could or did advise on how it should be portrayed, it was all a very personal journey, some of which I'm happy to forget but a lot of which came close to some of the storyline in the film. I've watched some corny films over the years, but there aren't many that make me smile as much in recognition of my youth as this movie.
