  1. B*ll*cks, I was hoping I'd be in England for the release, I'll just have to wait for the DVD release and listen to everyone banging on about it until then, still I have my memories, foggy as they are.
  2. I'll have a bash Dave
  3. We get light pollution here, up until midnight-ish, then it's blissfully quiet and dark, Sunday mornings are amazingly quiet. Saw two crescents in the sky a couple of weeks ago, one I knew (I hope) was the moon, the other heaven knows, I was walking the dogs so didn't have my camera, had to relaunch a swift the same morning, first time I've really had a close look at one. Priceless

  14. I had a pet squirrel for ages, Cyril, used to come everywhere with me in my pocket, didn't like seagulls, but was great fun on trains
  15. Saw a couple of conger eel heads discarded by the fishermen on the beach (this is a public beach where families go), also dead sea urchins and a dead sea cucumber, but then this is Spain, LOL
  16. Looks more like meadowsweet Suz, smells like candyfloss.
  17. I miss the Skylarks, used to see tons of them on the South Downs, here we have Crested Lark and Thekla Lark, seen most days if I go to the beach.
  18. Saw a white and a pink flowered self heal in the Hoz to Beteta just over a week ago, though photos were rubbish, so don't have proof. Nice Common Spotted Orchid too.
  19. Strange compulsion, I usually just slap kids that open their mouths
  20. I think would take some explaining from the likes of Packham and King, not witnessed anything like that myself, starlings are not usually generous.
  21. No Swifty, they are really nasty, They can lock their jaws like a terrier too.
  22. Anyone wanting to swim with a wild pod of dolphins should head to Serifos, one of the smaller Cycladic islands, there's a bay called Psili Amos where they come every September, I swam with them for years
  23. This pic accompanied an article in which the British Forces were accused of releasing man eating Honey Badgers around Basra in 2003 as a security measure...!x @@ ~ Honey badgers are notoriously nasty beasts, I'd not want to meet one, they'd stand up to a Jackall
