  1. Just shows you, to err is human etc.
  2. If it's a reissue I ain't interested, if it's previously unissued then OK, I might be interested, if it's the real thing then I would be interested, but a demo of a reissue just doesn't make sense to me.
  3. Well, not just vinyl, but going through Fat Fingers I've had a lot of bargains from Schuco toys, Dinky (and how hard is that to spell) to Kouros aftershave
  4. you don't have to stumble on things through fat fingers, or have I now let a secret out of the bag?
  5. You're quite right Russell, the "hunters" are blind to the fact that they are slaughtering needlessly whether it's big game, wolves and bears in North America, fish and other marine creatures or tiny song birds, they just do it for fun.
  6. I'm sure he must mean continental Europe Russell, once the birds reach the UK, they are generally clear of being shot at or mist netted for the table.
  7. Wherever I go plant hunting there's always signs for private shoot, I take no notice unless there's guns going off, but they do shoot everything, they have no respect for animals at all, I think it's the North African blood. Dave
  8. I hope you're not hearing those little negative voices in your head again Ady, just ignore them as always, what you're doing is perfect, your new discoveries blow so many people away. That's why I'll be at the Anniversary allnighter for my free single.
  9. Well done you, I saw one near Cuenca in June, near some cherry trees in fruit, but too quick to photograph, they get shot here, as do a lot of harmless birds
  10. I don't think they're common in Britain anywhere Chris, I saw one in May in East Sussex when I went back for a funeral, but it's the first one I've seen for maybe a dozen years
  11. and can you guess why that is Steve? It's been wall to wall sunshine since February, one or two showers here, saw rain in Cuenca when I went there, and in Gracelema, but that's supposedly one of the wettest places in Andalucia, but rain is very evident by it's absence. I'll probably run out into it and get soaking wet when it comes. Dave
  12. Sorry Steve, I'm informed that England may be due a very warm and sunny September Dave
  13. Hi Suz, I have one cat and he's brought in three geckos, two snakes and five sparrows this year, all but one snake I managed to retrieve still alive and well enough to continue their lives, he has scant regard for traffic and every time I go out I worry that he'll get splattered by some nutty Spaniard. I feed the birds from the balcony, though have very nearly thrown bread onto sunbather's heads recently, but see swallows, swifts, kestrels, blackbirds, sparrows, doves, starlings and parakeets on a daily basis, all enjoying the gardens. A reasonable eco-system, all be it ignored by most as the community is mostly holiday makers, only about a dozen permanent resident families, so quiet for most of the year, anyone envious? Dave
  14. Not enough events in the South of Spain, and probably too few punters to put them on. You have to cherry pick the ones you want to attend in the UK, either by knowing the DJ's and their ability to pack a floor or the crowd that you want to associate with. Just because a local event is a lot easier to get to than a tried and trusted event happening 50 or more miles away, it won't make it any better, go to where the quality is proven, then when the local do is the only one on a particular weekend give it a try. Just enjoy what you can, where you can, you can always leave early if it's crap and vent your spleen on here.
  15. Like I said in post 1229, I think he's deranged, he has a clock, ladder, roof tile and chimney pot fetish
  16. Happy memories
  17. and when sending it back make sure you don't put any postage on it
  18. I'm with you Pete, a confirmed oldies fan of the Casino tradition, I still have a wants list of oldies, and still get the hairs on the back of my neck raise when I hear them. Some newer stuff might interest, but there's so much that has been embraced and held on tightly to for the right reasons in the past that will keep me happy for a very long time.
  19. Anyone who has been to warmer climes will recognise the bougainvillea, now available in more than just the purple bract variety of old and even with double flowers, however my plan is to create something akin to this a bougainvillea bonsai at the Bonsai museum Marbella.
  20. I tell that to my father Pete, but it falls on deaf ears.
  21. One of three varieties of Cicada, the ugliest of things ever. This dragonfly was obliging enough to sit still while I tried to get a good photo, but I still can't identify it, help needed Martyn.
  22. I think he's deranged
  23. Which of course is completely illegal, though I have to admit my father, who still works as a gamekeeper at the age of 79/80 uses the same to catch magpie and crows. They (gamekeepers) dig out fox cubs too, which I find abhorrent.
  24. I got fed up with Casino in 1976 and decided to see something of the world instead, however I kept buying vinyl wherever I was in the world, thus allowing someone to take my space at the casino, as no-doubt many others did. The scene was a lot bigger than Wigan, still is and will always be as long as there are people around that appreciate the music that has been adored by us for so long.
  25. I hope you've got someone close that has patience Ian, that's all it takes, if someone is prepared to work with you on this you will recover, other's have done and you're strong enough willed to do so too. Just make sure you think positive. Get well soon.
