  1. My pleasure, you may need to give me a prod as my memory isn't what it was.
  2. You could also ban him from bidding, I know that wouldn't solve the problem of his mates, but you never know he might not have (m)any
  3. I have the DVD package in the UK, so I'll see if it's a pre music change version on there when I get back in mid September if you like.
  4. Strangely the label scans he had on the listing were named something akin to $12, so maybe that's what he paid for it? I asked if he had a Buy It Now price and was prepared to pay a lot, though I didn't disclose what my offer was, but he said he'd sooner see the auction finish.
  5. I thought that, surely someone other than me spotted it for the gem it was, but such small bids?
  6. Thanks Russ, I've had very little sleep since I won the auction, I've been buzzing like a fecking teenager, it has to be the bargain of the millennia as far as I'm concerned.
  7. I already mentioned this earlier, but I have label scans of both sides and I'm prepared to sue if it does go astray and ends up in someone else's collection.
  8. Had to pause it to take the dog for a walk, restarted at Johnny Scott, pure bliss on a Sunday early evening with the temperature at 28C.
  9. At times I think the world's gone crazy, it's been a long time search for this and I was watching the number of viewers regularly, it only had 39 in the week, so I figured it might not go for what it was worth. The Epitome of Sound isn't that rare, if at all, but it's all about being patient, sooner or later those that have deep pockets get what they want and when another copy pops up and there's no others desperate to own one then step in with your bid, at least that's how I do it.
  10. Thanks, me too Johnny, it's been a fairly lucky week, one way or another
  11. Thanks Chalky, I've been searching for a decent copy for years, I have a beat up copy at my uncles in Canada, which I may well sell on eventually
  12. There's a record store in Brussels not far from the Mannekin Pis, owned by the chap who booted Sam Fletcher, has lots of boxes to look through if you ask him nicely.
  13. It was Peter, I was the highest bidder, and got it for $26 and pennies, but I bid $1599.99 just to be in with a shout Yes Johnny, but I was so fecking chuffed, I needed to share. It's not for sale Kev, I collect Dore records
  14. I, hopefully, cynically thought similar after posting it on here, I'm assured it's in the post, though I wouldn't be surprised if I don't get it. My bid was $1599.99 and I hoped to get it for that. He had it listed as Rock, though had a couple of tracks listed as Northern in his other items.
  15. Me neither, I'd want to check them all out as well for that money.
  16. He won't accept Paypal, so I'll give it a miss
  17. It is the real thing, and it's coming to my house
  18. That's the one. Not a bad price
  19. The Swans original on Dore, possibly first one ever on ebay. Tried to add a link, but it opened up in my own account, which isn't clever.
  20. I have friends in Telford with a blue tit that does similar, beautiful to see when they are happy, sadly too many get kept in tiny cages which can't be good for them.
  21. Amazing, if only there was such archival stuff about every band
  22. I saw a lot in Romania too Peter, walking about the fields at the end of the day after the labourers had been scything down the hay
  23. Congrats Brian, a job well done.
  24. Every cloud blah, blah, blah.
