Show us your great photos (2016)
I am constantly amazed by the dogs that can be found in rescue kennels, my Happy was going to be drowned as he was unwanted, he's one of the sweetest natured dogs I've ever known. There's always lots of decent cameras on eBay cheap, just find a model you like and watch to see how much on average they make, it's quite easy to get a bargain after a couple of weeks of watching.

I was taking photos with a very old Sony cyber-shot until earlier this year when it finally succumbed to the way I was badly treating it, I'd had it for 12 years, and was used to how the menu works, so I look around for a more up to date Sony one second hand on eBay, I bought 2, one for £30, and one for £10.01, one had a charger and cable for connecting to a USB, both were minus memory cards, however they are both excellent at taking macro shots, or at least good enough for me with 12.1 mega pixels. You can easily pay £1000 for a very good camera, but you can get a good camera for £499, and if you want one to go through hell and back as I do when climbing in the mountains buy a cheap second hand. There are also Facebook groups that sell stuff in Spain, and it's often a good source of cameras, though you have to be quick. ps I think Clyde is a smasher too

Do you still travel to events?
Thanks Dave, did try to book for Benidorm but they said they wouldn't cater for a vegan, so after looking for self catering for a week I gave up. I'll see if I can get someone to dog sit for the night for Torremolinos. Dave

Colocasia esculenta spathe, the plant, known as taro, or eddoe depending on where you are, has edible corms, though anyone that has been unfortunate enough to have been served it on any of the tropical islands will know that edible doesn't necessarily mean that it tastes good, it's like the Sounds Four song on Saintmo.

I used to fly over from Toronto for the 100 club allnighters, that's when I was working for myself, now I'm working for someone else I fly over twice a year from Spain, and do what I can. I work Saturdays mostly and can't be arsed for local nights if there are any.

I can't do anything as good as Suz's cowslips, but in the heat of the Mediterranean we can produce some colour, even without much rain, Silene colorata growing en masse and flowering later than it should at El Refugio de Juanar, above Marbella, and, Tuberaria guttata, the annual spotted rock rose, certainly the best display I've seen of both of them.

Counterfeit paintings or records - what's the difference?
That's what I was implying, referring more to the legal reissues, or label owners reissues rather than the fly by night bootlegger.

Counterfeit paintings or records - what's the difference?
Call me picky, if you must, but I prefer my illegal activities to be harmful to me only and not ripping off the public. A print is a print, is a print, an original is a work of art.
