  1. I've not had anything go astray either, I sometimes have to visit the post office to pick it up, showing my passport etc. but it's only a twenty minute walk.
  2. Little Richard - I Don't Want To Discuss It, probably because I'd ask him how the song came about
  3. Tattoodave

    rita and the tiaras

    Hasn't changed much has she?
  4. I thought about that too, but the balcony has so many plants on it that getting a decent backdrop is very difficult. However, I thought this might confuse you even more. The bear stands about 1.5" tall, though is sitting here. I made him a few years ago.
  5. It'll be better next year Baz, only two years old from a cutting.
  6. My first attempt at growing a bonsai chrysanthemum in Spain, flowering at 4" high.
  7. I don't think there's quite that many Steve, came on as I was in the alcoholics aisle, made me linger. Bought a litre bottle of Russian Standard vodka for £9.70 which put an even bigger smile on my face.
  8. Shopping in Morrison's, Gibraltar and on comes Twenty-Five Miles, Edwin Starr
  9. 17th century Arita ware plate, paid 50p, sold at Sotheby's for £6000, sadly that was over 20 years ago, but still a nice touch.
  10. Try the Sunday morning St. Lawrence Street market, bought LP's and a few 45's there over the years.
  11. Try the larger thrift stores too, they can yield a bargain, though you need to be there on the right day.
  12. I generate that time warp. I could also say I look like a cross between Popeye and Captain Haddock. So, if you have an imagination you could just about find me in any crowd.
  13. I'll be the one that's heavily tattooed, once seen - never forgotten
  14. Don't forget to say hello, I'll be there in shorts.
  15. I have a spider's web on the balcony that I feed with flies or mosquitoes, inserted with tweezers, I rely on the geckos to keep the population of them down to a manageable level, but I still get bitten regularly by mosquitoes, and the flies are a pain when eating outside. The moths here get into everything, including porridge oats, so they aren't encouraged either, but I do try not to kill anything, even the ants, which I strongly believe will eventually take over the world.
  16. I don't envy you, I'm not a big fan of most things with more than 4 legs.
  17. But to give him credit Pete, there's only 54 this last month
  18. Not wrong this time Chris, well spotted. In answer to your question, my answer would be "Not in my house, but then my house has different parameters" Dave
  19. Has to be this for me, I jumped off the balcony to get to the dancefloor as I couldn't get down the stairs when it played one night.
  20. Sidney Barnes for me, if you write a song like this you should be able to offer up some of the anguish in the lyrics when singing them, providing the songwriter can sing, my second reason is it's on a nicer looking lable
  21. Wednesday last, about 10am, heading into Gibraltar
  22. I don't do ice cream, lactose intolerance as well as not wanting animal products in my diet, but they do an amazing rice cream in Spain, as well as soya ice cream, so I'd approve of the blackberry and apple crumble, though it's a little too warm at the moment. I've spotted a couple of bunches of bananas that are growing close by, so I think I might take a hook to them and bring them home before someone else does, they're not supposed to have much of a flavour grown here, but a free meal is a free meal
  23. The pineapple mint is good for baking cakes with, I approve of it all, it don't come fresher.
  24. He's the photographer Steve, Antonio Chacon, well known for landscapes and sunsets on the coast. Dave
