  1. White headed sea eagles have a white head (the clue is in the name) in your defence, and are a little more common to Europe.
  2. I think it might be a bald eagle Steve, but I'm no expert.
  3. There's some footage on YouTube of some in Alaska I think, on someone's deck of their home, sharing it with their cat (very brave cat).
  4. With the weather as it is, thought this might be apt....
  5. Johnny Howard's version for the sax break, but again a tough call.
  6. Obviously a queen on the loose, a local beekeeper should arrive soon to collect.
  7. A night flowering cactus, strangely no scent, and a bugger to photograph, taken in total darkness on the balcony last night.
  8. The first Tigridia to flower this year.
  9. Or thereabouts, never trusted with my own key, so had to wait for them to arrive back.
  10. I might just go to the Original Skegness Weekender warm up this year, but only the one night, and it's only a maybe.
  11. I have many happy memories of the place as a teenager, but probably the weirdest was when I home on a weekend from the Army my parents took me there, I went off and did my own thing and said I'd be back at the car at 4pm, only to find they'd forgotten I was with them and driven off. Needless to say it was pre-mobile phones, so I hitched back to south Lincolnshire and was sat on the doorstep when they got back, they'd stopped in Boston for tea and didn't realise I wasn't with them. Parents, who'd have 'em?
  12. Left field and then some....
  13. There's nowt wrong with Skeggy
  14. "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." Joseph Goebbels
  15. I know less than most Rob, and I live here, in my defence it is like an enclave of most European countries here, and the average age is higher than mine.
  16. Don Ramón Maria del Valle-Inclán
  17. I hope whoever is seen shaking a talc container inside a venue where there's a talc ban get's a John Wayne Bobbit
  18. Looks like Cherry plum to me, Prunus cerasifera. Makes a good hedge.
  19. Age is just a number, I'm still seventeen inside. I don't think life would be half as sweet without our music.
  20. Be careful with any baby bio food, little and often is usually a better way to do it, maybe a quarter of the strength they say. Unless you're still getting frosts it's best outside in the sun now, and shedding fruit is quite natural.
  21. Give it as much sunshine as you can, and try not to over water, but don't let it dry out. There are specialist feeds, but not worth the money for just one tree, try some slow release pellets they should see it fertilised until August and then if you can find some 0-10-10 fertiliser that will help it through the winter if you feed fortnightly through August and September. You may have to search for it, but it does help. The old leaves only last a year, so they do fall off, only fake plants are capable of keeping all their leaves, and only when not exposed to sunlight or bad handling.
  22. feed it like crazy Baz, and pinch the new growth back to two leaves.
  23. The question on my mind is what was the rat studying?
  24. It comes from "let it be heard" surely, like the olde worlde town crier Hearye as in this needs to be heard, why would anyone say here, here, doesn't make sense to me like most of the stuff on Wikipedo
