A massive thanks to everyone who attended the Morecambe Oldies Revival at the Alhambra and to the DJs in both rooms who played fantastic music which made the night another success. It was great to see so many people who filled the new larger dance floor and the extra seating worked a treat - here's a short video that captures just that! August Video.mp4 We can now all rest those tired feet and chill out until our next one at Morecambe on Saturday the 9th December 7pm til 3am for our early Xmas bash. Stop press: the Alhambra has informed us that the lift is unfortunately out of order and can't be fixed until next week. So if anybody knows a friend with mobility issues, please let them know that the only access to this event is by the main stairs. The management apologies for any inconvenience caused. It's nearly here, this Saturday sees us all back at Morecambe for another Oldies Revival in the main hall, plus the Carleton Inn Room spinning all those rare and underplayed tunes. The Alhambra management has asked us to let you all know that the bar is fully stocked with drinks at reasonable prices for the event on Saturday night; plus if you're lucky enough to be the nominated driver they've put on a driver's special promotion, a pint of coke is just £2.50 and a pint of any cordial and soda is just £1. Pay for all your drinks by cash or card at any of the bars, it couldn't be simpler, everybody seems to be talking about this event, not long now until Saturday See you all there, Shaun and all the team at Soul Promotions.

Hey everyone – some of you have been asking, so here’s a heads-up on the DJ times for the Carleton Inn Room this Saturday night at Morecambe. 19:00 Phil Dick 19:45 Simon Ingham 20:30 Roger Banks 21:15 Dean Anderson 22:00 Carl Fortnum 22:45 Phil Dick 23:35 Simon Ingham 00:25 Roger Banks 01:15 Dean Anderson 02:05 Carl Fortnum 03:00 FINISH Although the Carleton Inn Room is already being referred to as the ‘rare room’ please don’t be put off thinking it will be hours on end of choons played simply because they’re rare! that isn’t the idea – you can expect a good mix of quality 60s, 70s, underplayed, overlooked (and of course elusive tracks you simply don’t hear much) from the DJs, who will all have an eye on the dancefloor too!! Pay us a visit you might be pleasantly surprised! See you all there Saturday night

Brilliant selections from Allan he really did get it right, there were lots of nice comments and questions from the Ashton faithful - it was a real treat to be up there behind the decks with him. Always a stormer of a night at Ashtons premiere soul event and this one will no doubt deliver as reliably as always!! As Mick says best to arrive early and reserve yourself a spot in the main room - and to be sure you don't blink and miss anything. The night always starts off with a bang and keeps punching out the fantastic mix of quality soul throughout....something for everyone and always the odd thing that pricks up my ears for certain - whether rare or underplayed or both as it says on the tin

Stop press...an update for you all in response to the valuable feedback following the Anniversary in April Thanks for all your fantastic comments and feedback about the last sellout Morecambe event, here's some news to bring everyone up to speed about the new and improved Alhambra: The stage has been moved back nearly four metres (around 12ft in old money LOL) to reveal all of the original wooden dance floor, creating more area for seating around it and importantly providing more room for the dancers of course. We'd like to extend a big thanks to all the staff at the Alhambra for working so hard to accommodate the change. It's not long to go now! We're looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday the 19th August, doing your thing with the extra space All the best, Shaun and all the team at Soul Promotions
