QUALITY QUALITY QUALITY - Culcheth delivers again, both musically and socially a great night all around (in my opinion of course). The icing on the cake was the appearance of my friend Lord Bob Hinsley after a (far too long) stay of absence... I spent all night in the main room but heard great reports about the groove from the modern room so job well done the guys in control of the wheels in there Baz Maleedy kicked of the main room - in fact an extended set of 90mins which was as always a treat (dark horse that he is!) selections like Jesse Slaughter, Perk Lee and Jesse Thomas (Bases Are Loaded) exploding from the speakers just to mention a few....go Baz!!! I had the pleasure to follow Baz and try to keep things moving for Ginger - who did not disappoint, with a fantastic selection of huge Northern monsters, first up was the Four Tracks (Like My Love) and amongst others Walter & The Admirations, Chuck Cockerham &True Image .... the list goes on...and on... Kev Murphy took to the stage for the final 90mins and I've got to say he's really slotted into that wrap up slot in style - impossible for him to hide the enjoyment he's getting out of it at the moment ..... mojo in full force! Big thanks to him for playing Hayes Cotton - I'll Be Waiting' - Claire for me Don't miss out on the next installment - what's not to like!
  5. Not long til kick off now - just going through the warm up
  6. I'm always looking to put together tracks that match to my ears - here's an example of a fave spin and a new to my box example where I think that works (my opinion of course )
  7. It comes around so quickly and then not quickly enough!! The August installment of Culcheth is gonna be HOT in so many ways - I'm looking forwards to standing in the shadows of a fantastic DJ line up ............ digging around in the box as we speak!! I hope you can make it and Have Your Fun this Saturday

Great summary of the venue and event Baz .... I can't really add much to that other than which ball gown do I wear to flounce down those stairs on Friday night??? Looking forwards to the weekend immensely if you haven't been and you're looking for an injection of quality soul in great company it's well worth a visit
  9. Not too long to go now - a chance to make a big night of it following up the match with an injection of quality rare soul ..... Hopefully a win win
  10. What's not to like? - for those who don't want to miss the footy it's 2 birds with one stone, an opportunity to catch a great night supporting the lads followed up with a soulful installment including one of the scenes most respected DJs to follow ........ see you all there
  11. - fair cop, it must have been the lighting from a favourable angle
I thoroughly enjoyed my first outing to Lea Miners, I'd never visited the venue before and it was an honour to be asked to get behind the decks by Pep. The venue is fantastic, just perfectly suited to a nighter as the picture in the main thread suggests. A well attended night despite the big weekender, footy and BBQ weather and musically great all the way through IMO - varied offerings from all the DJs with a good mix for all. Looking forwards to my next visit - see you all there you know it makes sense
  12. Novice! - too humble I'd say ..... although I'm now in my 4th decade as an apprentice so who can put a timeline to the journey

  14. Thoroughly looking forwards to my first stint behind the decks at Rugeley in such accomplished company - no pressure!!! I'll be there from the off to take in the atmosphere and indulge myself in the offerings from my fellow DJs on the night - every day a school day and always a thrill to be asked to take part See you all there
  15. One that's lighting up the dancefloors at the moment and more evidence if needed that you should always flip em Expect an airing from either Mick or BazM himself
  16. All roads should rightly lead to Culcheth next Saturday so do yourselves a favour and make the trip it's bound to be a good un
