  1. Saw one for sale at £400 recently, looks like a few have sold for around £350 in the last few years - don't know if there's been a recent hike as sometime happens though?
  2. Ah Winsford, I remember walking in the first time - hearing one of my dancefloor faves, dumping my bag only to recover it 6 hours later once I'd left the floor. THEM were the days! don't remember you Steve
  3. So you selfishly stopped running the Fanzine and that was the root cause of the chaos and the following domino effect then Len?
  4. Thanks Steve that's great advice
  5. Yes please do - great reading and insight Tim ,
  6. I suspect Len meant easier to be negative than positive, but then again he could be trying to confuse us all on purpose? My votes with no.2 - change what you can!
  7. Just to perhaps add a little light and hope to the thread, check out these reviews: The scene I guess can't be everything to everyone, but there are glimmers of happiness at least for some (myself included)
  8. After reading through the thread I've decided that I'm too young to expose myself to the inherent dangers so my wife has written me a note to excuse me from any NS events henceforth. .
  9. Fabulous Apollos - What's So Good To You - Valtone PM with price/condition if you have one please
  10. 1980 Ian - Catalogue No. ALSX-3751
  11. I feel it's fundamentally my duty to disagree with Len. This track isn't terrible at all - it's chuffin orrible; but I'm sure somebody loves it! Once again I find myself saying it's down to an individuals taste and that's all that matters (unless it's Len )
  12. End of the day that's what I love about NS - it's what you think or rather feel that counts....I simply can't tell you 1 track is better than another it's down to personal taste......loads of examples spring to mind and polling opinion doesn't change anything. Interesting though.
  13. Always preferred the group version myself.....and you get the (even better IMHO) flip with it
  14. PM with price and condition please
  15. PM with price if you have one pls
  16. Thanks - yes great one for sure
  17. Lovely Ex copy barely a mark on it
  18. I've got one somewhere
  19. PM me if you have one for sale please with price/condition
  20. It's an interesting thread developing, but another where it's obviously going to be highly subjective, as with most talk about Northern Soul because we all have differing taste (a good thing IMHO ) Without trying to hi-jack or divert the topic I'd be interested in what folk think makes a good set (regardless of the actual tunes) i.e. a set that builds up in tempo throughout, or that contains a range of sub-genres, introduces different tunes amongst a blanket of well tried out favourites or even how the DJ interacts with the floor?? - obviously this can be set against the backdrop of the actual tracks themselves! Or not
  21. You aught to try it Len
