  3. The COVID-19 measures have left the Rare Soul scene littered with cancelled events and the faithful following home alone at the weekends; so the Bury Town Hall team have decided to launch a ‘virtual’ all-nighter. The show will be broadcast over internet radio every Saturday while we’re under lockdown from 21:00 until the early hours of Sunday morning. The format will be just like a real event with a selection of DJs from previous and upcoming all-nighters at Bury Town Hall selecting their spots, carefully in order, from actual records they own to keep it real. You can join us at https://www.radioking.com/radio/soulallniter and we also hope to be posting links for use with iTunes, Windows Media Player, Winamp, Real Player & Quick Time in the near future. Please note - The radio link above is only 'live' while the show is 'live' We hope you enjoy the show and it goes some way to filling the void and lifting your spirits
  4. I like to think of it as five sleep, and long ones to get some in the sleep bank ready for a big night
  5. A new Phase for the Town hall starting next Saturday and it's shaping up to be a cracker... Focus is on the main hall for March and then we're launching a 2nd room upstairs focusing on the underplayed.....join us there in May at the "Top of the Stairs". Watch this space
Culcheth went with a bang last night, we arrived early (uncharacteristically LOL) and the place just kept filling up! Great to see; partway through the night more tables and chairs were having to be being brought into play in the main room.......I'm sure someone will give us the lowdown musically but I heard good things about it. I spent the night in the back room listening to Phil, Alex and Mr Cunliffe playing to an appreciative crowd - never a dull moment. Well done to everyone who negotiated the local road closures to make it - I'm sure it was well worth it for you.

  22. You're dead right Chalky - exactly as I feel too TBH, it was such a great moment when you'd travelled to wherever Butch was on and you heard the sound of The Supremes - You Keep Me Hangin' On firing up from the system *Boom* Maybe this instead - just for you (do carvers fall under O.V.O. definitions?)
  23. These three would do it for me anytime
