  1. Another Ste Thomas blast from the past, he was the first I heard play it for certain (not sure if he turned it up must ask him on Saturday!) Still not had its day IMHO
  2. - now I am going to pester you about that one!, can't believe you've kept it from me, it's just mean And did you drop the soap???????
  3. That's a helluva story to dine out on Sir Bob (well jel - probably my fave female artist from the Motown stables)
  4. This one reminds me of Ste Thomas, especially as it's a British Issue in the video - great oldie, I love to dance to it
  5. Massive for Sir Bob Hinsley back in the 90s (Robbo too) and the rest is history of course!!! if he doesn't play it I might try a bit of plagiarism
  6. Great starter! - or finisher???? sod it, just whenever LOL
  7. In Case You Need Love - A fantastic Motown dancer from the Miracles, thought to be 12" LP track only but actually release on a 7" mini LP too (fits in the playbox better)
  8. A recent addition to my sets at Culcheth - mileage in this one methinks?, it wasn't included on the UK Cream Label issue in 1976 as the production team only had the 8 track tape of the flip "It Will Be Done".
  9. Nothing to worry about
  10. Oh yeah
  11. Dancing shoes at the ready for Saturday at Culcheth
  12. Wowser, Culcheth seems to have come around so quickly - the night has been building and building in the last few months (deservedly) so expect another busy one on Saturday! Nice to see Steve Thomas guesting in the main room and Chris Box no doubt delivering the goods in the modern room alongside dark horse Charlie Smith..... All in all not to be missed - see you all there
  13. Class - we always had great adventures getting to and from the nighters, many a memory of getting lost but having a ball
  14. Risky - always seems to be dibble there but yes in theory
  15. What's not to like! - going from strength to strength and deservedly so IMHO, looking forwards to seeing Mr Thomas, here's one I first heard him play back in the 90s....not sure if he was the first but it always reminds me of him
  16. I'm not sure I'll have to check through the labels to see, deffo got some from the deep South and Mid-West, West Coast too
  17. Soooo looking forwards to another installment at Keele this weekend, I said it last time but it's one of those venues that brings back great memories of hot sweaty nighters, great atmosphere and banging choons......The last one was excellent - better dust down the playbox I guess!! requests welcome (including play summat we know )
  18. Another typical Robbo selection to rock the place to its foundations
  19. Of course but I was hoping to build the intrigue - we could have run a book with Robbo as the odds on favourite ..
  20. It wouldn't be a mystery if you knew - obviously she's a lady of great taste though Reckon you could work it out on the night from her excursions to the dancefloor LOL
  21. This one can finish a triplet of Robbo selections for the night - what's not to like???
  22. Never fails to please the floor - another piece of smooth Robbo magic (please )
  23. One from the Robbo stables. Dark horse that he is, underestimated by many but a big influence nonetheless
  24. Yet another great night on the cards at Ashton - never fails to hit the spot!! With guests like Gibby & Col, Tony Mac and Robbo lined up I expect the dance floor to be alight again - looking forwards to it as always
  25. This one can fool a few onto the dance floor and then they're committed
