  3. Apart from "The Collectors Guide to Detroit" originally compiled by Rod Dearlove many moons ago, could anybody enlighten me as to whether there has been any similar publications (related to detroit) since. I am aware of the project currently being worked on by I believe Keith Rylatt for which I eagerly await completion and publication. I'd be grateful for any feedback
  4. When I was out in Bradenton Florida last year staying with friends, I did the thrift stores and came up trumps with a fistful of 45's, the best find being Tommy Frontera-Your'e my leading lady on Hi-lite for 15 cents, also had some local contacts, through friends again who were very switched on to the Garage/estate sales. Also the Tampa Bay record fair (where I met Dave & Jan who were promoting The Hitsville Soul club) which turned up some nice pices albeit the dealers tend to refer To John Manships price guide, however near the finish time were willing to drop their prices somewhat. All in all I came home happy

  23. Seems I'm in the wrong place at the wrong time,as I'd given up on the thread and have missed out on a couple of opportunities to clinch a copy, can't find it on ebay, but I won't give up.......Issue or demo please
  24. Agree totally with BrianB, I was also lucky enough to attend the Hebden Bridge do, inclusive of the pre-main event at the Comrades Club, just around the corner from the cinema, again Connoisseurs Motown , from Roman Ginger & TerryJones.I can honestly say it was one of the best functions I've attended in a long time. Also the other points raised by Netspeaky with regard to the Motown catalogue depth, as being primarily a Motown vinyl collector, I know how much space it takes up, but to each and his own etc.etc.
