  1. Love's gone cold by the Duvet's on Limp, (all time classic) never uncovered !!!
  2. I'm comin' home in the mornin', appropriately as I'm on night shift and am just a bit knackered.....
  3. Whilst appreciating Pete's advice, I also have a "run of the mags" and personally wouldn't part with them..... but ............there aren't that many about, so....what numbers have you got?
  4. Fair do's. looks an interesting compilation, and as a Motown enthusiast, it is great to hear unissued material.I must add that I've only heard a few of the tracks listed, so await it's release with great expectation.......
  5. Could you please indulge the individuals name who initially interviewed you....He/She will be dealt with appropriately
  6. About time Ady......I await to be hooked
  7. It's a fair old dap from the airport to Hitsville, and it would cost you a princely sum, so I wouldn't advise such a trek in the limited time slot
  8. Top Tunes Baz, any more Detroit ditties from the same era you could put up?
  9. I'll relieve you of the O'jays Pete, cheers wilxy
  10. Get well soon Russ
  11. I've heard some truly great sets over the years, and albeit I haven't been for a while, the 100 club regulars always did the business for continuity of excellent sets, and more recently the Burnley all-niter which for me on every occasion I've attended, I can honestly say I've enjoyed every single set I've heard and without patronising them I applaud both their enthusiasm and ability to put together well thought out sets which are fresh on the ear,(inclusive of all guests included to date) and makes the 6 hour round trip very very worthwhile.........
  12. Once heard "Hit me with your rythm stick" Ian Dury & the Blockheads played at Yate all-nighter by a well known Soul Sourcer DJ, but I'll leave him to own up to it......
  13. Edward Hamilton-Baby Don't You Weep....
  14. E-Mailed you Keith
  15. Dean, It might be an idea to also try the Soulful Detroit site, "Motown sub-forum" and ask the question?
  16. E-Mailed you Pete
  17. Now somebody beat that for a response, forgot only the kitchen sink, Chalky
  18. I think you took my reply out of context Mark, what I should have emphasised is there has been criticism in other threads of "old school ethics" being outdated. I for one am proud of the original as such ethics as it's what makes our scene unique,in my humble opinion but I know it is a view that may be sneered at in some quarters as snobbery. As a collector first and formost, when I do occasionally "play out" I cringe at the fact that other individuals play anything but original vinyl, and there's nowt snobby about me....except when they play a boot of something I was planning to....
  19. Absolutely agree Mark, unfortunately it seems that some of the original ethics are overlooked by virtue of them being outdated
  20. Unfortunately, and irrespectively of the fact that both these tunes I heard when saying final farewells to two good soul buddies, they both seem to take on different "guises"when I hear them now compared to before hand for obvious reasons.... I have no choice- Johnnie Mae Matthews When you lose the one you love- Buddy Smith.............oh yeah and can echo the sentiment of Wulfie re Tobi Legend...............gotta go
  21. Sorry, only joking and not meant to undermine your thread in any way, but I'll refrain from posting mine for the time being for fear of deserved vitriolic response
  22. Don't tell me mrs soul, but the latter is due to you keep on kicking the poor lad out!
  23. 10 to 12 weeks by boat, seriously I'd sack the oarsmen
