Chalky, Your right a variety keeps a club fresh and alive with Soul, I have just found a gem of a place in Manchester, Indigo (Inner city soul club) check out their sound file at Events, Dave and Gumbo these two guys have a talent to "blend" music styles, second time I've been to Indigo now and I will not be missing another, soul sam was there, its a real soul club in my humble opinion, Keep On.

Dave Pinch, yeah I heard lots of good things about this venue years ago, I'm exhausted just thinking about all the top places there is still to go to, enjoy,Keep On.

The Phantom Janitor, Maybe I was pushing my luck with the Hip-Hop, Hip-Hop is damn funky tho', and if I can recommend, Eric Sermon's "Just Like Music" and 2pac "Temptations" also 2pac "If I Should Die Tonight" all have funk and soul, enjoy, Keep On.

LilJimmyCrank/Gordon Russell, take it easy easy now its all about having fun, I have to agree with LilJimmyCrank though sorry Gordon, I have been to venues where they use a mix of styles, Just been to Indigo (inner city soul club) in Manchester, soul sam was there, but the guy's Gumbo and David (check out their sound file) play quality tunes, some DJ's can mix and flow with the records they play, Dave and Gumbo ( I give these fellas serious shout out) need a new word creating for what they do, and you heard it here first, they not only mix they "blend" they fused the different music styles together and it worked, damn right it did, maybe if more clubs did a "blend" then the people would be able to enjoy more than just one music style at a time, Keep On/

Labeat, I think we are getting our threads mixed, I'm male and I reckon Kim is a female, that in an earlier reply offered some recommendations, here this, like you say so many venues and so many soul music fans, we really need to do a cencus, we are so many I bet we could vote ourselves in government at the next election, Keep On.

Raym, I have just checked out your link and it derserves a more in depth viewing so I will do just that, good to see Peterborough alive and jumping, I know what you mean and a lot of people will agree with you about the played out oldies, there is so much music out there that needs to be played, fresh tunes keeps the clubs new and the people dancing and enjoying their time out, which is what its all about (so is the hokey kokey thats what its all about) but you know mean, I said that quote before anyone else could, enjoy,Keep On.
