I visited last months all-dayer, first time at this location. What an excellent afternoon and torn between the 2 rooms with tunes for everyone so the venue will play everything to do with this great soul scene of ours under one roof. First time I have ever met Pete Roberts and what a gentleman he was. Pete took the time to show me round the club with good conversation and he was really enthusiastic. The reason for my visit was because my long-time pal Greg Osborn was guesting the decks with 2 superb excellent slots, each slot the dancefloor was full. What Greg hasn't got on vinyl is not worth mentioning and all on 'original' format. Myself, Greg Osborn, Les Hare & the late Malcom Owens used to run and DJ the Oakfield Club In Sale all those years ago. There were old friends at the Wheel that I have not seen for some years,,, Siz Sayles and Hutchy great to see you both and catch-up. Plus there were lots of other people there who I knew by recognition from past years gone by and acknowledged with a polite head-nod or hand-shake. Just a brilliant afternoon and evening. I personally think Basement 66 is a venue hard to beat. Well done.

It was my first time to visit here 2 months back and had a great time with excellent across the board music. However it is going to be seriously good this Saturday with Greg Osbourne doing a guest spot. It was myself and Greg who founded The Oakfield Club in Sale way back in 1996. Greg's record collection speaks for itself. Really looking forward to it.

First time here for us last month, me and my good lady Jeanette. We braved the horrendous weather travelling from Sale. All the DJ sets were brilliant with something for everyone which for us made the night. The room is ideal for Northern Soul with a first-class dance floor. Bar prices were respectable too. I would like to say a special thanks to our table neighbours Steve, Colin and Terry who made us feel very welcome with their friendliness and sound conversation.

Hopefully I will be here this Saturday. Last months soul night was excellent as always with Stevie Hay doing a great guest spot. Both Ian and Ken go the extra mile in making their nights successful. They have now just recently invested in a beautiful pair of floor-standing high-end speakers to compliment the rest of their quality sound system. There is still for my money no other soul night within the local area that can get anywhere near SOS soul nights and all played on vinyl. Authentic,, the word!!!
