  1. Swiss Movement - Come Around Here - from the It's Time For The Swiss Movement LP. Paul Dallison played it on Saturday at slim Jenkins Place in Sheffield - I can't get it out of my head, it's superb.
  2. Listen to Soft Cell's 'Say Hello, Wave Goodbye' and you'll see Dave ball has lifted the guitar break from The Entertainer note for note and used it as a figure that goes through the song. Listening for those little steals is fascinating...
  3. In that case deffo not an original? Originals green and gold, 70s boots green and silver, and maroon and gold if i'm not mistaken...
  4. Thanks for the replies.... would love to see a 45 release on this one. Thought it would have been a shoo-in for the singles box sets a while back.
  5. Quick question everyone.... Has this ever been released on vinyl, or just the CD comps from a few years back.... would love it in my play box.
  6. WoodButcher is right - Deffo the Packers Tim.
  7. deffo a pressing, sorry - I have an original and a pressing and the pressing has the same wide run out as yours.
  8. I buy plenty of new releases but they are exclusively 60s northern/crossover from the vaults - Mark's doing a great job at Secret Stash - Leroy Taylor, soul junction stuff etc... Not too bothered about newly recorded soundalikes...
  9. Eagle - Kickin it back to you - for a guess I think you slightly misheard the lyrics... ...although this is from 1970 so may be a bit late.
  10. I bought it blind on Inferno clear vinyl in the late 70s.... always enjoyed listening to it, good tune. He wrote hits for the Bay City Rollers and puppet on a string.
  11. Hand It Over for me too - tune.
  12. So if you stored all your factory records together you'd knacker your valuable joy Division 12in! BTW FAC 8 is a classic! Sorry - going off topic a bit - not soul
  13. Not strictly the vinyl, but I've got this Durutti Column album (The return of the Durutti Column) in the loft in a plastic bag on its own. Cover was designed by the great Peter Saville and is made of sandpaper!.... designed to destroy the sleeve of any record it is stored with. Bloody arty farty designers. I love the album and the sleeve btw!
  14. That's right - the last lot of 'yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeahs'... on both dark and light blue boots.
  15. I would wager that if Jack White is involved it'll be proper analogue mastering - he's fiercely keen on authentic recording and mastering processes from what I gather. I hope so anyway.
  16. Terry Westhead at the Soul Shack a few years back played a string of records, which were pretty much my top five....one after the other... incredible. Rest of his set just topped it off. A real defining moment for me.
  17. Classics - So Glad I Found You - I'll never ever get one so it's a nice dream.
  18. Stunning Fred! Play a set like that on the 9th at Route 61 and it's happy days!!!
