Lou Pride Signed By Russ Winstanley
Fair point mate - it'd be good to hear from more like you for a bit of balance. I'd like to read a 'respect Russ' thread, could throw up some interesting stufff from, 'the other side'.

Is There A Better £5 Original
Killer tune - picked up a near minter for a few quid - ridiculous!...just listen to Mr McAllister's vocals (I think it's him?) - whoever it is should be a hall of fame shoe-in!

Lou Pride Signed By Russ Winstanley
It's like buying a 2005 reprint of Jack Kerouac's On The Road and having it signed by the bloke at WH Smith's cash till…

Could Someone Name This Tune Please?
Hee hee…for a guy called 'Guitar' Ray you'd have thought there's be some decent guitar playing on it! Superb record though - never tire of it.

Club Caliente, P"boro Fri 3Rd October
mmmm Exits back to back....you have ears Russ!

Rumer
Hmmmm…I struggle with Rumer (crap stage name as well) - she seemed to hop from genre to genre until one hit paydirt. I don't think she's particularly 'authentic'… if her first 'indie' band had sold any records she'd be doing that instead….not for me I'm afraid.

Northern Soul The Film - See It At The Cinema

Dancing In Trainers
They are a thing of true beauty Malc!...I'd love a pair of those. They make my 32 year old docs look young. I wore them to work the other day and our 31 year old warehouse guy early fainted when he realised they were older than him!

Just Arrived In The Post (Or Just Bought)
Just received a beautiful copy of Under The Street Lamp/You Got To Have Money - The Exits Trouble is, after a test play or feedback purposes, it's been confiscated by the missus, not to be re-opened till 25th December - that's three bloody months...why did I agree to that!...what if I've gone off it by then!!!! (doubt it)

Gwen-Owens-Just-Say-Your-Wanted-Velgo- On Ebay
Sounded alright out front on at Blackhearts on Sunday morning Ted! On the Gwen Owens, surely that much damage must render it pretty undesirable (does to me anyway)...it's lost so much of its appeal without the label - I'd always be thinking I was the owner of that "worst copy of Gwen Owens in the world ever". Also I'd probably be always on the lookout for a better copy as soon as I'd bought it... you can tell I'm not a proper collector!

Dancing In Trainers
I guess crocs could be the new polyveldts then Carl! I'll get myself a pair now then hang on to them and sell them as a pair of '2014 originals' when I retire. However if they don't take off I'll be able to use them to pop out to the bin when it's raining. Either way it's a win/win. I'm a 'slider' meself - I guess if you're more of a stepper/walker then trainer's'll do it for you. Shame they look so crap.

Is There One Tune You're Sick Of Hearing

Is No One Bothered About The Hall Of Fame?
I mean 5 or 6 entries?.... from 3000 odd members?? Couple of things: It encourages us to stop and have a real good think about the many unsung people who wrote, performed, recorded and promoted the music that we all love. There are artists and the families of artists who made very little money from the original records that are often on sale here for hundreds of pounds and more - money they'll never see. A bit of recognition wouldn't go amiss from those of us who have benefitted from what they have given us. Lorraine nailed it - a lot of these artists and their families are gobsmacked and delighted when they find out what their music means to us. Don't know about you but that makes me feel great. I reckon if you have time to respond to a post about a lost acetate, or what wacky vehicles you've driven in the past (btw that's not a dig - they're all worth reading!) then surely you have time to have a think and fill in the form. It's such a wide ranging and obscure scene that there will be a lot of 'one-offs' and maybe some debate about who gets nominated but so what - it's better than a wall of silence. Come on... fill in the form or hang your heads in shame!!!! ...or tell us why it's not worth doing?

Ever Had Your Heart Broken?
Can you drop the bag off next time you're in the UK Baz, that meant more to me than all those crap records. It was an original 3 blue stripes 1982 issue with double strength PVC handles!

"tears Dry On Their Own"
The Dap-Kings played the backing track of Ain't No Mountain High Enough - Marvin & Tammi. I like 'em both - but M&T is pure soul gold.

No Feedback No Further Purchases
Off topic - sorry P99!.... what's happened to your Ringo pic Pete?...I had a bellyful of Molyneux when I was at college!!!!
- Music Groups

Music Groups
We all ought to join these groups and completely flood 'em with loads of obscure (but excellent) records - it'll drive 'em mad!... they might learn summat too.
-
No Feedback No Further Purchases
I understand a seller like yourself Pete, you might end up spending most of your working day just leaving feedback to your buyers (on behalf of your clients) but those who have time ought to leave feedback - it's nice! Particularly on ss - it's more like buying from your mates. I like that.
-
No Feedback No Further Purchases
As a regular buyer who always, ALWAYS leaves good feedback straight away, I get bugger all back from sellers. Maybe they're too busy?.... Not complaining about the service I get - it's always excellent, but I wouldn't mind summat back cos i always pay instantly.
