  1. Mick you reminded me a while ago, that I sold my copy to a mate of yours and to be honest at the time I actually hadn't listened to the "I got a man" side before I sold it. I was always dropping clangers like that. Like you say another great twofer.
  2. I agree all 8 tracks are brilliant.
  3. Mick, up to now you've highlighted The Versatones, Bob Collins, Cookie Scott & Moses Smith, all double siders, I suppose they take up less room in the play box.
  4. I'm so looking forward to this.
  5. I could've sworn that was the truth but with no confirmation from Baz then I'm not so sure. We'll find out tonight mate.
  6. Or maybe I've made it up?
  7. Baz will confirm, but I think the copy that Baz will be playing on Saturday is the very same copy Russ played at the Casino. What's the chance of that. I hope Baz doesn't mind me saying but I think it was gathering dust inside Russ's garage.
  8. That's Magic Mick.
  9. The Notations and Ellipsis would be great to own one day
  10. I was thinking the same Lee, maybe all eyes will be fixed on Tim's Anglo American results tonight finishing at 6pm. If I had a spare few thousand pounds I'd be tempted by at least 2 of them.
  11. Stu are you still playing the wonderful King Earnest twofer. This side always does it for me, but either side is fantastic.
  12. Nice one Stu, I like it, that's some of your best work however Simon named Mick "Mighty Mike" at the last minute,, "Magic Mike" the magician would have been better IMHO.
  13. Does the labels of this company normally have a little star on them.
  14. Stu that wouldn't work, Jessie Pinkman's a character off Breaking Bad. Maybe Bob Up'N Down might work or Bobbing a long.
  15. There's already Si "The Fixer", Chris "The Finisher" are we saying Mick "The Magician" Howard now, I like that, but not a lot. I should have had that nickname, whenever I DJ'd I could make everyone disappear off the dancefloor. Just like that.
  16. Stu you just reminded of this previously unreleased beauty from Harold Burrage. I'm sure Mick will remind me who did the original.? I think it was on a Black label.
  17. Man City fans used to sing "Feed the GOAT and he will score. Any relation to the Ashton Ukrainian GOAT.?
  18. Hey don't start that, I must be living in a parallel OVO universe to some on SS.
  19. Mick, Is that right Stu lays down the beats with his drumming skills, Could he be Northern Souls answer to SHOVELL
  20. The earliest boots I remember specifically for the Northern market was OOTP & Soul Sounds. Made up mainly by popular titles being played at the Wheel
  21. I can see it now, who needs Butch, Ted, Sam, when we can get most of their records on a look a like bootleg. Who fancies going down that slippery slope.
  22. What at a advertised Original Vinyl Only soul night. Really is that where were at nowadays. F**K it lets play what we want, whatever label it's on.
