Put the Modernism tag on hold for now Sean.
Somehow it don't sound right for stuff that's over 30 years old if you know what i mean.
Gonna concentrate on Quality (hey we got you kicking things off) ahead of Quantity at the new venue & probably only have 4 or 5 nights a year & hopefully try not to clash with anything else.
As for the music policy, gonna try to keep it as varied as possible playing stuff from the 70s through to present day releases & if we get the opportunity to bring in DJ's who are new to the South Yorkshire folks we're up for it.
Anyway back on topic.
Seems to me that crossover is an uncomfatable partner on the Modern scene & the Northern scene too for many.
The majority of the Northern crowd like there Northern with a bit of Crossover on the side & the same goes for most on the Modern scene too.
Before anybody comes on to shout me down i think the Crown at Spondon proves my point perfectly. Central location, great room & most importantly bloody great music but it dosen't fit under the umbrella's we pigeonhole as Northern or Modern.
Just a shame folks can't judge a record on it's merits rather than the year it was made.
