2006, The Highs & Lows
Well it's been quite a year ain't it. Started so tragically with the loss of Lou Rawls & finished in the same way with the loss of James Brown. Some great events & some never to be forgotten live appearances must feature & the continiued success of the soul scene in all it's guises must feature for the highs. My personal high of the year must be the Thursday get together before Octobers Prestatyn weekender. Sharing a few beers with The Contours, The Masqueraders, The Andantes & JJ Barnes. A night to live in my memories forever, thanks Rob Whats yours? could be owt, getting that elusive record you've been after for years, hearing a record for the 1st time & the shivers going down the spine, meeting an old friend from days gone by, attending an event for the 1st time, the list is endless. Lastly take a minute to remember the friends & site members who are sadly no longer with us but are still in our thoughts & in our hearts. Quite a year wasn't it & i'm sure the next one will be just as eventful. Off you go...

Top Tips... For 2007
Great thread Sean Well here's my tips for the next year. From a 60s point of view i'd love to hear this a bit more often in the next 12 months. Youre Taking Too Long - the boss man -gamble 11697 refosoul ................................................................. On the crossover scene this looks set to be a monster thanks to spins from Shaun Robbins & Brett Franklin. Lets Change The Subject - satisfaction unlimited - 11391 refosoul .................................................................. A late 70s/early 80s dancer that's well due a reactivation is your old Clifton Hall spin Sean, remember this mate? Do Ya Got What It Takes - jackie moore -cbs 13042 refosoul .................................................................. Onto the new stuff. We got an instrumental of Ron Hall & the Muthafunkaz & an accapella of Micheal Proctor & 2 decks & fiddled about with e'm & came up with this. Already tearing up the Modern dancefloors round South Yorkshire via our very own Julia Nicoll. Click on my signature below to have a listen. Mart...
