  1. Rob Wigley, a couple of Marriots, Chris Shaw & your's truly at a recent Bridlington Weekender.
  2. Can we just clear one thing up here. These records are not bootlegs, they are counterfeits & that is far far worse. A bootleg is an illegal press of an item but a counterfeit is made to deceive & that is regardless of what it say's in the ebay post.
  3. Of course they can't vet that many Mike but they don't even do anything when stuff get's reported.
  4. Heard it played in Edinburgh last year & the place erupted. Looks to be working it's way South.
  5. And that is the problem, he's being 100% honest about his dishonesty & still ebay do nothing about it.
  6. Just hope it's a one off & not a cereal.......
  7. Three before eight
  8. Still need this folks.
  9. Pic of a flyer from March 1982 where you were the guest DJ Sean. Probably your first appearance there I think.
  10. Flyer from the first night is here along with a very interesting flyer from when Steve & Adrian had split with Senior (hope I'm not using his intellectual property here ).
  11. Would have thought that Poke, Steve Mannion & Pat Brady were playing it well before you were added to the line up Sean.
  12. Sorry to upset the applecart Guy's but the 12" is far superior. Sounds oh so good played alongside 'You Dazzle Me by Dazzle (Burgess connection). Glyn & Arthur have pretty much hit the nail on the head with the above comments. Thought the Gold & also the Orange 12" were both original copy's though Glyn. PS, My 12" used to belong to Adrian Guite who ran Clifton Hall with Steve Croft & some other bloke so it's precious to me.
  13. Niceness Mark.
  14. Always look forwards to this thread each new year. 3 from me, one not out yet, one from last year that a lot of folks missed & an old u'n that fits into the Caribbean category that Sean mentioned. The first one is from Bosq feat Nicole Willis called Bad For Me. I have been lucky enough to have had a promo of this that I got from the Whisky Barons since last summer & on the odd occasion that I have played it there has always been a lot of interest as most folks are surprised at how well they have got the old 'Blaxploitation' sound nailed. It's due out on vinyl at the end of February & I can see them getting snapped up pretty quickly. https://www.ubiquityrecords.com/shop/products/Bosq-Feat.-Nicole-Willis-%252d-Bad-For-Me.html The one from last year is by the Mighty Mocambos & if this isn't Funky then I don't know what is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9-2i8ibxEI The last one is from 1970 & I might have posted it before but it's got to have it's day sooner or later & it's Owen Grey - I Am Satisfied. Only to be found tucked away on the B side of a UK Escort record & the A side is a very poor version of Young, Gifted & Black by Denzil & Jennifer so it's quite scarce. Also Owen Gray's name is spelled wrong & as this didn't get a release anywhere else might be another reason it didn't sell. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OwgtZ_mQ4o
  15. Same on my phone Mark. Mixcloud shows but the Podomatic is just an empty box. Think an upgrade is missing.
  16. So who know's the difference? Dave Pinch need not reply
  17. About right for me I suppose. Don't really pay that much attention to these current repress things. Guess it'll sell on.
  18. Was 2 on discogs. One for £6.99 and one for £100. Was it pressed twice or have I just got lucky?
  19. It show's here Mark, in fact I'm listening to it as I type. What are you viewing it on? Phone, tablet, laptop etc? Maybe one for Mike.
  20. There was just a hint of sarcasm. Elton John mentioned now! Keep The Faith you Crocodile Rockers.
  21. Amy Winehouse, Edwyn Collins, Plan B etc. Good to see some new Northern alongside the same old classics. Off to listen to some of that strange fangled Modern stuff. Enjoy Northern monkeys LOL.
  22. Err thanks Ian, I think
  23. Might be off to the big apple next year so was wondering if any of you can give me a few pointers in the right direction. TIA, Mart...
  24. Here's a picture of a yellow vinyl copy (sorry about the quality). This one was not mine as my copy now resides in a collection in London. They came out of the same box as the yellow vinyl copy's of the Professionals & also a yellow vinyl copy of Dutch Robinson.
