  1. About £40 to £60 for a guess. Glad to hear you got a 1932 copy Steve Now who's got a 1932 for me?
  2. Why the above soundclip? Well it's only legally released on CD but some rather dubious 12" copy's are flying around. Just seems crazy to me that folks would rather play it off the 'dodgy' 12" copy than play the original CD copy that also sounds far better. Also posted it cos it's a bloody good track & a great album as well.
  3. Moved to correct part of site. Think you'll have more joy here.
  4. Been after the 1932 version as well for a while Steve with no joy As for the going rate what's a 1932 fetching? Also legend has it Dave Thorley had several copies & didn't realise until after they had all been sold. Where is Dave when you need him.
  5. Thread moved to correct forum.
  6. New? Seem to remember playing this at our 1st Modernism night 4 years ago. Mainly due to Geordie over at the Friendship in Barnsley. Credit to him for sticking with it. Tis a bit Burly Chassis Joe
  7. Think the last copy of the 12" I saw for sale was about £50. Better off buying the CD for about £15 as some other nice stuff on it that never saw the light of day on vinyl.
  8. Hmmm, Dodgy ground here then. Does this mean that recent re-issues like Grapevine, Realside etc ain't paying any royalties on the demo's that they are selling for double the price of the issues? Also should these so called demo's be for sale at all? Thought a demo/promo was to promote the record & not to make a quick killing on.
  9. You gone mad Rob? Donny on Sea Not only that but we'd lose Bridlington
  10. CD only tracks? - Play the CD Album tracks? - Play the album You guy's on the Northern scene don't realise how lucky you are. Odd time I get booked to DJ on't Modern scene I normally have a box of 7's, a box of CD's & a rather large box of 12's/albums. Roll on the i pod DJ revoloution so I can turn up with my spot in my pocket
  11. Somebody please buy this as I recommended it to Trev & I'll never hear the last of it if he's stuck with it. Great 70's cover version of the Rex Garvin classic & nice instrumental version on the b side & a bargain at £15. Will post soundclip up shortly.
  12. Right then Barry, you asked so here goes. Answer 1 - Don't wear denim jackets with Wigan patches on them. Answer 2 - Don't admit to liking or playing House music. 1 & 2 must never be done together or the results could be a total disaster. Answer 3 - Go easy on the red wine at midnight. Answer 4 - Never try to answer more than 3 questions at once . End of the day Barry you've got a lot to offer this forum with your musical knowledge & i'm speaking personally now, i'd miss your posts on here as we both share a very similar musical background but keep it short & sweet mate & don't put yourself on a pedestal & if you do don't bite when someone tries to knock you off it. Mart... PS, You got an Ike Strong yet? Think I might have turned a copy up
  13. Ad's are randomly selected by google Pete & they connect to linking words & topics in threads so by posting this you have given your mate Jazzie even more publicity. Look at the side of your original post & the banner at the bottom of the thread Oh the irony
  14. Simons one of the Mods on here Barry so if he's got a copy for sale I think he'll find you. Been after an Ike Strong for years myself as well so if you get offered 2 I'll take the other & then I can sell my True Image 12 to help fund said deal.
  15. Topics merged.

  18. Not 100% on this Barry but seem to remember it coming out twice on West End on 12" One version lasted 5 minutes + and another version was over 9 minutes.
  19. Thanks Tony, Top class
  20. Thou shalt not start a thread like this on a Friday & then on the Saturday attend Modernism & wait for one of the promoters to get on the dancefloor & proceed to bloody video him Just you wait until Brid Rob. My day will come
  21. Royal Esquires springs to mind. Was only a couple of copies for years & then all of a sudden everybody's got a minter.
