  1. Think your'e gonna be crashing through the dustbins when M R reads this. Best keep looking over ya shoulder at the Qube in August.
  2. I missed e'm as well but would love to have a listen. Gary Lee reckons you couldn't mix concrete
  3. Noticed the Lamont Cranston Band picture on the link above. Any connection between the 2 bands?
  4. The man's as mad as a box o frogs It's good to have him back on site though & he's certainly started a thread that's kept us all entertained today.
  5. Ya can cut this out for a start. Quite like the term 'Modern' & as our night is called Modernism I think we might have a problem if we had to change it to Somethingelseism
  6. Any of you good folks got a copy of the following 2 records for sale please get in touch via PM. Buena Vista - He's Okay. Ebony Stones feat Jade- Take You Higher. Thanks for looking, Mart...
  7. Thought a soul record might have made a change from all the RockaBilly Joe Oh well, back to the Wensleydale
  8. Probably not the best of examples in the first place from me but the main points are that Kings Go Fifth (sorry, couldn't resist) is a Northern track on 7" vinyl & the Dells is a Soul track on CD. Also if I remember rightly the KGF thread on EMS was far bigger than the Dells thread but I think that was mainly due to James's input
  9. Can't really fault the price as it was me that sold Sam his copy for the same amount - £25.
  10. Got to be honest Marc & say I wouldn't play it out either but for different reasons to you. I actually quite like it in a retro kind of way as well & I even went out of my way to ask James what it was when he played it in Sheffield a while ago. The reason I wouldn't play it is because it simply wouldn't fit alongside the other new releases that I do playout. Have noticed the response this record has being getting though on forums when other things like the new Dells track (Can't Wait) have barely been mentioned. Wonder why?
  11. Just curoius Marc but if you think it's a great tune why won't you be playing it out?
  12. Only released on 12" on Soulfuric.
  13. Nice video here about the making of the album & also features some of the guest artists who worked with Al on the album. ">
  14. Not really updated but apart from newer release stuff the strangest thing I've come across is by Love - That's The Way It Is & The Only Way on RRG records. TTWII is the A side & TOW is the B side. 2 totally different tracks & titles but the same lyrics. Will post up soundclips in a minute but the sound quality ain't that good so forgive the pun - that's the way it is!
  15. Oops! Guess you type faster than me
  16. Know what you mean about the guitar. Saw the copy go through as well the other day & was surprised at the price to say the least when I heard the state of it. Think I'm gonna write Keb Darge spin on all my sales in future Maybe Mr Noble can enlighten us as to how many copies are out there.
  17. Great record & been at the top of my wants list for a while now (hint!!!) Also would like to hear the James Martin if anybody's got a soundclip to post up.
  18. Like Pete say's definitely 16 NSS albums & also 3 Modern Soul Story albums. Bought e'm all many years ago when Rotherhams record library closed down for 50p each. Knew they were all in good nick as well as they'd only been hired out to 1 person - Me
  19. Come on folks, somebody must have a copy spare.
  20. Posted this a few months ago & had no joy so thought I'd try again. After a copy of He's Okay by Buena Vista on WET Records. Any of you good folks got a copy for sale please PM me. Thanks, Mart...
  21. Pointless re-issue really though Tim as folks will buy it & miss out on all the other stuff on the original CD.
  22. Not gettin a dodgy 12" from me You can get the original cd from steves soul sounds on the link below though & also listen to the other tracks on the album. https://www.stevessoulsounds.co.uk/shop/product.asp?xPRODUCTid=647
