  1. Just saw this on another site that was drawn by a friend of Joe's. Sum's him up perfectly I think.
  2. One of Sheffield's finest. RIP mate.
  3. Irony - yes. Anger - no.
  4. The scene is as big as it's ever been with all the returnee's & new faces & guess what? One of the biggest bootleggers the scene has ever known resurfaces. Who'd have thought that eh
  5. Following on from my post above I have now been removed & blocked from the Kings Hall group, probably because I dared to mention it on here. Ho hum.....
  6. Best way to get a copy is to search for the A side Chris ( Young, Gifted & Black by Denzil & Jennifer). Still tough but that's how I came by my copy.
  7. Dare I say something slightly more 'Up-Front' https://www.traxsource.com/title/452300/miami-sampler-2015
  8. Winstanley asked & also answered a few points on the Kings Hall Stoke Allnighter page but they now appear to have disappeared Shame really as it was one of the best posts ever on that page
  9. Tried to edit my post above to include this link to the Cool Million upcoming release but can't for some reason so here it is. Features all the tracks with some incredible guest artists.
  10. Another monster from the same camp & due on vinyl soon, not that that really matters. Here's the link to the vinyl release with the mix for the flip that is a nice alternative mix. https://www.juno.co.uk/products/samuel-d-sanders-make-you-mine/570526-01/?ref=mukat&hc_location=ufi
  11. The new Cool Million CD due in May sounds rather good. https://www.soultracks.com/first-listen-cool-milion-sumthin-like-this https://soundcloud.com/cool-million-production/sumthin-like-this-album-teaser
  12. On the Z records 'Under The Influence' album too on vinyl & also CD. Compiled by Red Greg. There is also a Z records 12" test press.
  13. 15 years ago a Modern event was considered Up-front if it played predominantly Soulful House. Seems that you Northern punters have stolen yet another thing from the Modern scene.
  14. Or even Modern Oldies
  15. Can you or anyone else proove that? If they are not legitimate then why on earth would they print their address on the label?
  16. Might be time for me to get rid of this on ebay. Now I know the Stardust label is frowned upon but they are legit in Canada & as this test press/demo is from New York it makes it probably the only legit USA copy there is. Also know it looks made up but it really is a Stardust test press as plays Gene Mcdaniels on the flip & the run out groove numbers match.
  17. Who cares. Nobody reads flyers any more anyway.
  18. Just seen this while browsing around & thought some of you on here might be interested in a few of the 2015 releases for Record Store Day. Full list on the link below. https://www.thevinylfactory.com/vinyl-factory-news/record-store-day-2015-the-full-list-of-releases/
  19. Surgical spirit from the chemist & a soft cloth.
  20. Time to bump this up again I guess as still can't find the bugger. Anyone help me out with this please.
  21. Wonder if he is going to confirm that the yellow vinyl Professionals is a bootleg then as it was in the same batch
  22. It's not new. It was released in 2009.
  23. If anyone I don't know starts taking pictures or filming me without asking my permission they'll be having to get the camera surgically removed.
  24. Been playing this since last August as got a promo from those nice Bosq & Whisky Barons Guy's. Went down very well at last Autumn's Scarborough weekender & has been getting big spins all over Europe. Finally seeing the light of day on vinyl on the 24th February. https://soundcloud.com/ubiquityrecords/bosq-ft-nicole-willis-bad-for-me
  25. Still waiting for my Philly box set Ian. Ordered on 17th Jan.
