  1. Need a tin hat for just mentioning the word Modern in Barnsley Nev Bri's right though about the Barnsley connection. Think there's more copy's in Barnsley than the rest of the UK put together.
  2. Just stumbled on another copy of Jimmy James & the Vagabonds - Missing You on a Mojem 4 track ep & was wondering if anyone can shed a bit of light & of course a value on it. Have been playing it for a while now on the occasional times folks are daft enough to ask me to DJ for them & it always seems to go down well & folks are always surprised when they find out it's our very own JJ&TV. Have also been told that Jimmy was selling it around the Northern England working mens clubs when his career had virtually hit rock bottom. Makes me think that most copy's are tucked away in old dear's lofts collecting dust. The labels are reversed on both my copy's & as far as I know they all are but in all honesty the only other person I know with a copy is Sean Hampsey. Have just seen the copy of Jimmy's - Hey Girl in Mr Manship's auction & I'm sure this is far rarer & IMO far better too. Any info would be most welcome & the refosoul clip is below. TIA, Mart... Jimmy James - Missing You -

Old - Chuck Jackson - Arrives Middle aged - David Sea - An Ocean Apart New - Richard Earnshaw - In Time (just buy it now) Thrown off site un - De La Soul - 3 Feet High And Rising (outa here fast!!!!!).
  4. We're never wrong Nev, just not always quite right or understood Just uploaded said track to refosoul so anyone that don't know it can hear what all the fuss is about. Black Box - Fall Into My Love -
  5. Was around the same time as Lin was at ours I think. Sutty's copy now resides in Barnsley.
  6. Can confirm what the other posters have said. Very very rare 12" to track down & was only released in Italy & I think were all shipped to Japan. Were also a couple of 12" white label test presses done as well & if you are lucky enough you'll get one in a picture cover like mine as pictured below. First came to peoples attention when loaded as a sound test track on the EMS forum by Paul Sutton & had it's first venue spin at our old Modernism night by Lin Taylor. Will pm you some info that may help you in your search Sunnysoul but sorry to say I ain't selling mine either.
  7. Just how all fairy stories start ain't it Paul? Think most site members are sick & tired of all this mundane shite on here. Be nice if just for once you started something positive for a change.
  8. Once Upon A Time.............................

  10. Laughing out loud here as I put the other side of the Creators in refosoul. Both sides below. creators - just you and me - creators - blame it on me -
  11. Very nice. Never seen or even heard the other side of the Creators issue. Took me long enough to track down a demo. Have we found the rarest RCA issue here???

LOL, Agreed on the £3-50 comment Sean. Look what happened when Brett played it at the above mentioned venue https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y--d6ppzotA&feature=player_embedded
  13. Quite a few of the Modern RCA stock copy's are bloody scarce too & far more common on demo's. Things like Kalyan - Just Let Me Love You One More Time, Trumains - Ripe For The Picking & the ridiculously rare issue of The Creators - Just You And Me.
  14. Really looking forwards to this Ian. Used to think remixes of classics like this were best left alone but if done the right way they really do work. The recent Dimitri from Paris Philly remixes proves this & I'm sure this will be just as good. Many thanks for bringing this to the attention of Soul Sourcers & if & when you get round to the unreleased Philly & HDH stuff coming out you know your old mate will more than welcome any promo's to play out & push on here :-)))
  15. Think you'll find that most folks on the sites you mention Dave are members of all the sites you mention, err me for example. You also say that 'SOME' of the songs are in refosoul but also some of them are not so why not let members here them on here? That's the whole idea of refosoul. To give a comprehensive Soul music library for all members of Soul Source. Please do bother Dave as some of us do appreciate the effort but all we're asking is that if you post links on Soul Source (or any of the other sites for that matter) give our members the benefit of posting in refosoul.
  16. Link not working Kev. Try this one. https://www.smoothradionorthwest.co.uk/presenters-shows/shows-adrw/northern-soul-special-n3j8/the-northern-soul-show-special/d7cqrjm3/
  17. Have seen the Womack 12" go for a bit more but that old Soul scene 'got to have the 7" mentality kicks in. Seen far more 7" copys sell for up to around £100 but on the rare occasion a 12" pops up it rarely sells for more than around £30. Would say the 12" is far rarer than the 7" plus you get 2 extra tracks. Have also seen dealers asking for up to £30 for the Luther but think £20 is more realistic. As for the SOB keep it. Such a great track I can't imagine why anyone would want to sell it.
  18. Womack £30 Luther £20 SOB £10 All approx though depending on wether selling or buying.
  19. Covered umpteen times already. Thread closed.
  20. Moved this to the correct forum for you Dave. Like you say reputable seller but was suprised at some of the prices too. Did you see what he got for some of the Boogie 12"s?
  21. Sorry to see it still ain't turned up Steve (take it our phone call didn't throw up any leads?). Might be worth phoning around any DJ's who you have doubled up with & the DJ's who were on before & after you at any recent events. Sounds unlikely but strange things do happen. Was DJ'ing a while back & found another copy of Leroy Hutson - All Because Of You in my record box. Said another as my copy was also there but 1 was UK & 1 was an import. Phoned around all the other DJ's who were on & got no leads & still got no idea how it got there. Still in the box & always will be as 1 day it might get claimed & it's in better nick than mine too! Know it's not worth anywhere near a N N but you never know. Might also be worth posting on EMS as well as you do a fair few Modern rooms.
  22. Think you might be interested in this link. https://www.danceclassics.net/images/Thumbs/pages/Sir-Prize.htm
  23. Gulp, Hardly ever comes up for sale & when it does it normally ends up in Europe in the hands of a Boogie collector. Would guess at about £500 but I'd want a hell of a lot more than that for mine. Can't think of anyone else in the UK with a copy now apart from me. Will be giving it a spin tomorrow night on Andy Jacksons Infiniti show on boundarysound if you wanna hear it.
  24. How about Sir - Prize - Never Can Find The Words on Budwieser??? Rare as rocking horse poo ( only around 8 copies known ) & one of the most Soulful records ever made.
  25. Sales???? Moving to correct forum.
