Your Favourite Modern Soul Choons ?
About £150 to £200 for a Blaster album but you'll have to raise the bar a hell of a lot higher than that for a 7" copy if it ever becomes available. Also got a legitimate release on one of the Keb Darge BBE Soul Spectrum albums but you don't see vinyl copy's of them that often these days. Would guess around £25 for a vinyl copy or around £10 for the CD album. Both the Soul Spectrum albums are worth tracking down as some fantastic tracks on them.

Your Favourite Modern Soul Choons ?
Very very rare on a 7" release. Only know of 1 or 2 copy's. On Blaster like the album. 7" version a slightly different take as well & also shorter.

Jackson Sisters - Miracles
Strange you said that Dave as it was Errol who asked me & his is on Polydor & I think he got it off either you or Bri. Think I'll offer him a fiver for it

Jackson Sisters - Miracles
Thanks Dave. That's pretty much what I told him. Did think the 12" got pressed twice on Tiger Lily though. Was also told about a Japanese release on Spectrum??? Never seen it on UK Elektra Malc. What year?

Jackson Sisters - Miracles
Just been asked by a friend how much the Jackson Sisters - I Believe In Miracles was fetching? Threw up a bit of a conversation as there are that many variations, Prophesy, Mums, Urban, Tiger Lily, Polydor etc then there is the 7" 12" & album formats. Can anybody give a comprehensive answer to this for once & hopefully for all please. TIA, Mart...

Just wondered if For Real's for real

Flowers Boot
Can someone just confirm weather or not this is a boot or a legitimate release? Got it myself (again not in the shed LOL) & have been told that it's a boot & also that it's legal. Either way it's the only way to own the long version mixed from parts 1 & 2 so worth buying.

Eric Bennet
Track featured above is from Eric Benet's new album called Lost In Time & IMO is probably the weakest track on the album. Just wait until you hear 'Paid' that features Eddie Lavert. 'Good Life' featuring Ledisi & 'Feels Good' featuring Faith Evans. Strong contender for album of the year. Album due for release on Nov 30th & should be in at all the usual places like Soul Brother, Crazy Beat etc.

Mario Biondi
No idea Rob. Never seen or heard of one. Great guy is Neil. Was with him earlier this year (namedropper LOL) & he told me a story that you might like. A certain Ian Dewhirst was DJ'ing in Ibiza & he played Neil's Brownstone / Love Unlimited mash up - If You Love Me & who was on the dancefloor giving it some, only Kylie Minogue. Can't say I blame her as it's one of the better mash up's around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoFBi_eRmas

Mario Biondi
Italy's Barry White Would say £10 to £20 for any of the 12" vinyl copy's. Not sure about the 7" as not 100% certain as to how legit they are but would guess at about £5. Also a few remixes around, the Dimitri one ain't bad. If anyone wants the Neil Thompson re-edit that mixes it with the SOS Band there is just 1 copy on the link below. Very limited release so a bargain for £11 as it won't be around for long. https://www.discogs.com/sell/list?release_id=2002493&ev=rb Oh yes before I go. The best verson IMO is the Schema 12" credited to Mario Biondi & the High Five Quintet with Rioi De Janero Blue as the A side.

Another Nail In The Vinyl Coffin
After the good news I brought you last night with the Crosley deck this hit me like a brick in the head. Thanks to Dave W over on EMS for posting the original story up. RIP Technics decks. Panasonic is set to discontinue production of its famous SL-1200 turntable after 38 years of manufacturing, due to a lack of demand and the difficulty of finding components to service the iconic deck. The SL-1200 is currently available in its 'Mark 6′ iteration. It was the choice of turntable for DJs, mainly because it was tough as old boots and could withstand a good battering as you moved around from club to club to beer-soaked back rooms in dodgy pubs. Yet the digital music revolution has finally seen the Technics turntable off. With the plug being pulled on the Technics range of turntables, mixers and headphones, the analogue music era is, it would seem, officially over. "Panasonic decided to end production mainly due to a decline in demand for these analogue products, and also the growing difficulty of procuring key analogue components necessary to sustain production," a spokesman for Panasonic told The Tokyo Reporter. Panasonic has sold around 3.5 million Technics SL-1200 model turntables since the original launch in 1972. The announcement comes just days after Sony revealed that it would no longer be manufacturing and selling its iconic cassette Walkman in Japan. Japanese DJ Tatsuo Sunaga ("The Record Chief") told The Tokyo Reporter how he felt Panasonic's announcement was unfortunate - "I've been using these products for around 20 years and rarely suffered a breakdown. This type of excellence is something not seen globally, and I think the fact that one doesn't need to purchase subsequent models as being the reason for forcing the move."
