  1. First time I have heard that version Neil. Quite nice too. Already got the New Love on the Red Greg remix album but want a proper un (you know how it is). That 'other track' is still tucked away for you mate & might have a few other similar 12" things up for grabs that need new homes.
  2. Dreams To Remember also came out on Ronn so not hard to see how folks get confused with the Rowan copy. Still after this (on Rowan) & the New Love & Innerstate album mentioned in the first post if you can help.
  3. Thanks for the scan Dave. Also thought that Dreams To Remember was the A side of the issue so the info will help with searches etc. Still after both records if anyone can help please.
  4. Thanks for the info John. Just assumed that Dreams was the A side as it has been released a couple of times before but without Disco Music on the other side (on Ronn & also on Steph & Lee I believe). Still after both records folks.
  5. Great to see them Barry & will pass on the links to Adrian Gyte who used to promote Bradford with Crofty. He'll be made up when he see's them.
  6. Know it's a dirty word on here to some but am looking for a couple of Disco items. First one is the Brazillian album New Love & Interstate 95. Second one is Ernie Johnson - Dreams To Remember/Disco Music Keep On Going On on Rowan Records. Know the Ernie Johnson is available on other labels but need it for the B side. PM me if you can help & I'll get back to you asap. Thanks for looking. Mart...
  7. Wonder how different this thread would be if someone like Ian Levine or Russ Winstanley had made the comment that Richard Searling had made about the music being almost secondary? Thought Pete Waterman did a reasonable job overall but got a bit fed up of people just using the show to plug their film, event, record etc rather than concentrating on what really matters - the music.
  8. Six weeks on & still wanting this. If anyone can help please drop me a pm & I'll get back to you asap.
  9. If it's the same remix of Jean Carn - If You Wanna Go Back that you sent me a while back it's worth the purchase price for that alone. One of the few occasions I have actually filled a dancefloor Heard the Gloria Scott edit yet Doobury? If not why not & I feel a haggling session coming on
  10. Thanks for the replies everybody. All more than welcome. Also seem to remember hearing that Dave Thorley sold some of the 1932 copies without realising. Ring any bells? Still not sure about a value for the later 1932 version though & before anyone asks it's not for sale
  11. Hi Nick & thanks for the reply. Label is identical to the 1879 cut apart from the serial number so yes it's orange. Not got a 12" copy now but don't think the serial number matched the 7" release but seems logical that somewhere there is a 12" copy of the later version.
  12. Just managed to snare a copy of the Curtis classic How Can I Tell Her 1932 without the boom boom Disco sound effects that appear on the 1879 version. Have had the common 1879 version for ages & also a few copies of the 12" but it has took me more years than I care to mention to track down a 1932 copy. Have had a look through popsike & it seems to be all 1879 or 12" copies then I noticed that no demo copies are on there either but I am sure I have seen a demo of the 7" 1879 & also a demo of the 12". Then I got thinking if there is a 12" cut of the 1932 version as it seems strange to make a 12" edit of the first version but not the 2nd version. Never seen or heard of one & would love to be proved wrong. Also see that Mr Manship has listed both 7" versions at £70 but surely the 1932 cut must be valued a hell of a lot higher than the 1879 cut as it's so much scarcer. Anyone?
  13. Was a Bileo listed on here a couple of day's ago.
  14. Lambeth walk perhaps?
  15. Think a few people on this thread might want to take a step back & remember that this Okey Cokey thing was first performed on the Soul scene (to my knowledge) a couple of decades ago at Pitches in Rotherham to Holland, Dozier Holland's Why Can't We Be Lovers when Pitches was ran by the Just Soul promoters. It's also regularly done on the Modern scene to classic records like L J Reynolds Key To The World, Norman Hutchins I Really Love You & R Kelly's Up & Outta Here. Myself personally find it quite cringeworthy & have done for years so let's hope that this bit of poaching by the Normans will put an end to it being performed in other rooms any more.
  16. No it's not Tim but Wolverhampton is.
  17. Heard something similar last Saturday at an oldies night in the West Midlands. The DJ (don't know his name before you ask Tim) was playing Wade In The Water - Ramsey Lewis & the CD started skipping so he said & I quote " I'll play it on vinyl next time". Perhaps he should have played it on vinyl that time & he wouldn't have had the problem & perhaps if I'd known better than going to such a night I wouldn't have been able to tell this story
  18. Just a couple of easy 12" wants. Solo - Blowin My Mind. Sunburst Band - Everyday. PM with price etc & I'll get back to you asap. Also still after Ernie Johnson - Disco Music as mentioned here Thanks for looking, Mart...
  19. Any of you good folks got a copy of Ernie Johnson - Dreams To Remember / Disco Music Keep On Going On on Rowan records that they are willing to let me have for a modest fee I'd be more than grateful. Know there are a few different versions of this flying around but it it the Rowan copy that I am looking for. PM me if you can help me out & I'll get back to you asap. Thanks for looking, Mart....
  20. Also seen a white label Studio One copy with black print with a Lord Tanamo b side. Think some are with strings to make it a bit more palletable for the UK market & some without strings. Great track either way
  21. Born in 1961. Know that as she will soon be celebrating her 50th birthday (December I think).
