  1. Think several tracks from the new Incognito album might be getting a bit of a hammering in the Modern rooms in the next few weeks. Good price too at amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007AEX0RE/ref=s9_simh_gw_p15_d0_g15_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0GVTBVAXPS2CJDY45XFC&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294

  3. Exactly Tim. If this is the 3rd issue & the black & silver copy is the 1st I take it the copy with Lord Tanamo on the flip is the 2nd press. Wonder what a Bamboo UK copy might be worth now with the better IMO string arrangement?
  4. Was in Snowy's old shop in Rotherham & he had a copy of Heartaches & Pain - Pages that he thought was a boot. Wasn't sure so gave him the fiver & checked it & result, real un

Might be Mr Hamilton's by Red Or Dead you are looking for Beeks. Very similar to the old Clark's Oberons but readily available & IMO comfier than the old Clark's thingy's. https://www.schuh.co.uk/red-or-dead/mens-tan-red-or-dead-mr-hamilton-apron/3102766220 PS, before anybody thinks I have gone all Northern old-school top 500ish I buy them because they are so comfortable
  6. Thanks for posting that Cliff. Seriously good

  8. Not sure of it's value but rate this as one of the best Motorcity releases.
  9. Could you please go through the correct channels & post this in the event forum & then this can be locked or deleted.
  10. Glue it Bob
  11. As a fan of Modern Soul there is a very important question I need to ask. Does the glue method work on a CD?
  12. Thanks Nige Now let's hope some of the other DJ's can do the same & then we can get this thread back on track.
  13. Might be an idea for some of the DJ's from both rooms last night to post their playlists up in here to give folks who didn't attend an idea of what they missed. Nige & Sean, seeing as you have both recently posted on this thread how about kicking it off. https://www.soul-sour...ents-playlists/

Got a European (possibly Belgian & Dutch) & an Austrailian single release both on Philips. Worth keeping the album though for her version of the Jimmy James song Help Yourself.
  15. Official site view as event Mod - If it finishes before 6am it's a Soul night & should be posted as a Soul night & NOT in the all nighter forum. My personal view - If it finishes before 6am it's a Soul night but I'm a Modern fan too so I shy home at about 2am as I like my sleep when it's still dark
  16. The Gregory Porter album including On My Way To Harlem is available on Amazon on the 1st link below & there's a free legit downloadable bonus track from Montema music on the 2nd link https://www.amazon.co.uk/Be-Good-Gregory-Porter/dp/B006T9WU1S/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1327954914&sr=1-1 https://motemamusic.bandcamp.com/track/gregory-porter-illusion

  18. Great record. Would guess at about 40 to 50 quid but the 12" copy goes for at least double that as the Boogie collectors want it. Also a very nice version of Funky Nassau by him on the same label that is very in-demand with the Boogie fans too. Think Ray Munnings was also the vocalist on the original Beginning of the End version too but not 100% on this.
  19. Exactly Russ. Northern events no matter how you want to dress them up - Original Vinyl Only. Modern events - legitimate format only be it vinyl, cd or even legitimate download transferred to a playable format. Said before on here & other places, thats how it's been for as long as I can remember.
  20. Also thought there was some sort of Kopell connection Nige but never had a solid answer. Reason I want to know is that I sort of aquired a Stardust test press off the Mrs of Timi Yuro. Not really my thing at all but if it is legit it must be pretty scarce as never seen another Stardust test press & Liberty copy's go for close on a grand now. Does look quite good too as label printed & all artist / title info hand written. Might be off to the bay if it is as scarce as I'm hoping.
  21. Could someone finally please clear up how legitimate these Stardust releases are? Have heard on a number of occasions that they are legally pressed in Canada so therefore they are not bootlegs. Also have a very good reason for asking (& it's got nothing to do with The Tempests release).
  22. Been after the Rowan mix for a while (pm me if you have one please) & it seems to be the more desirable copy to own. Also seems Ernie Johnson did this quite often as his Dreams To Remember was released no less than 3 times on different labels. Value? About £30 I guess for either copy.
  23. Now available on i tunes for people who can't wait for a solid release on cd or even vinyl later in the year on the link below. https://www.r-kelly.com/news/r-kellys-share-my-love-available-now-itunes And as for Mr Dewhirst & Mr Mooney, don't you wish it was on your labels boys :0)

  25. Think you'll find that Andy Peebles played this quite a few weeks before your good self or Searling off a pre release copy on his Soul Train show Sean. Still does sound alreet though don't it
