    Wants

Yes. But dunno what it goes for? Cheers Phil
  3. It must be worth more then? I'm selling the whole lot anyway (vinyl that is). About time methinks. Not been to a soul do for 3 years now, can't see me going again, and at home mp3's sound just the same as vinyl. I've been selling a fair few to people on here already. If you (or anyone else for that matter) has a want list, let me have it. I may well be able to help with one or two. Cheers Phil
  4. Funnily enough I was playing this at home last night. Dunno what it goes for now. About £15?? Phil
  5. I can help with a G copy of Dee Edwards and if the unknown track is Versatones - With A Broken Heart (Magic City) I can help with that too. cheers Phil
  6. It would have to be The Cashmeres. Cos I've got all the others. Phil
  7. I might have. Do you know what release number it was supposed to be, or do you have a sound file so I can maybe identify it? Most of these test presses don't have artist or title info just matrix and/or release no's Cheers Phil
  8. Truly sad news. I met him in Detroit a couple of times, a real gentleman and a true talent.
  9. I have a spare Just Brothers. I don't know price either. I also have quite a number of Hot Wax, Invictus, Music Merchant test pressings and quality control presses (from Capitol Record pressing, Sonic productions etc etc) including a number of unreleased items (one Eloise Laws track is stunning). Of any interest? Cheers Phil
  10. I think there have been a lot of too obvious reponses. With people confusing awesome records with great DJ'ing (Butch etc). A good DJ doesn't necessarily have to have the best records. Butch has the best records (these days anyway) and is a competent DJ, but not the best. The definition of a truly great DJ is one who reads his crowd perfectly and plays to entertain those that are there. Amongst the best DJ's I have witnessed are (in no particular order) - Ian Levine - Mecca times (could have been a real contender ), Richard Searling, Dave Withers, Pat Brady, Steve Whittle - Casino days, Mark Bicknell (when he's not tired & emotional ) and Dave Evison. 16. Hi, I have the Velvelettes, also plenty of 7" authentic Motown aceates. I have sold probably the best ones (northern wise that is) in the last month or so but if you are interested let me know. Cheers Phil
  17. Love Is Like An Itching .... fantastic. Just close your eyes and picture them chains wrapped around the drums. On a kind of related note, Diana Ross & Marvin Gaye - My Mistake does it for me. Phil
  18. No call for blasphemy
  19. Thanks Simon
  20. Currently sorting through the old vinyl in the cellar when i came across this one: 125th St Candy Store - Piece By Piece / Loving You Baby Is So Vey Hard To Do - Uptite What a fabulous double header. Has it been played out much? Phil
  21. Well personally it doesn't much matter to me what happens to the scene in 30-40 years as I'll be in a little jar on the mantelpiece. Mind you I don't want anyone else getting a hold of me records so they'll have to go in the furnace with me Phil
  22. Try this. The site's not always up but it features, on the face of it anyway, all motown recorded songs released or otherwise. Another SS member put me onto it last week. I've found it very useful in identifying artists on my Jobete acetates. https://www.a1-network.com/dftmc/main.html Cheers Phil
  23. And the last one. What a corker! A double sided acetate with an unknown artist. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 Any ideas who it might be anyone? Cheers Phil
  24. And the next one. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=4861946199 Marv Johnson - Let Yourself Go Storming R&B track
  25. After the last three went. I've decided to sell a couple more. Here's the first one up ... https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=4861939860 Shorty Long - (Another Love) Love Is Gone Again Cheers Phil
