Having completed all the UK Tamla Motown albums. I'm now onto the singles.

I have many of these already but need to trade up to better copies.

Thanks

I have (together with a number of other artistes from HDH's Hot Wax / Invictus / Music Merchat stable) a number of Honey Cone's QC test pressing records.
As well as released stuff there are a couple of unreleased tracks like Taster Of the Honey and slightly different mixes of released tracks (inc I Can Fly).
Vocally a very good group.

A bit of a non question really.
Not just with "this music". Each of us probabaly thinks our view on everything is correct. That's human nature.
Views are open to change though. Through either experience or persuasion. That too is human nature.

If you look at the sellers other listings. One of the items he offers is a label and sleeve production and design facility
You don't think he might have? The Jimi Hendrix. Surely not ..... just a thought
Never say never. But so far The Charades - Key To My Happiness has never left my Top 10. It's gone up and down the chart over the the years but never dipped below (or even as far down as) No. 10.
Cheers

I have a few for Soul, Tamla and Gordy releases.
They are either totally blank, Capitol Records manufacturing, ARP, Sonic Sounds and Monarch generic with master number, sometimes label no and sometimes title too.
These are QC Test pressings. The pressings that are done to check sound levels, skip etc before going to white label promo which is a promotional tool to get early airplay and build up demand prior to release.
So it is entirely possible, indeed likely, that a QC test pressing on an ARP generic label exists or at leat existed somewhere.

I don't think I'd risk it. Maybe more will turn up now
I'm just thinking of speculating in a couple of buy to let gaffs at the minute. maybe I'll wait until September

Maybe £60k for FW is a tad high. But as for better places to put your money. Where?
Personally I've started spending serious amounts on vinyl again as there's no point in having it in the bank cos the most you'll get is a couple %, and a lot of vinyl is available at good prices now.
I don't think personally I'd pay more than £20k-£25k for FW though. It'll obviously go for more than that so no point in bidding

I've got quite a lot (about 100 or so). I used to have them all over my record room wall, but they've been boxed up (still in frames) for the past 3 years nearly.
What stuff are you after?
Do you want the originals or are good quality 8 x 10 glossy prints acceptable?
