  1. I'm trying hard to imagine an audience at the Casino when that would have worked.
  2. Sam Cooke - Sugar Dumpling. Mmmmm, dumplings....
  3. Corey Blake - How Can I Go On Without You....
  4. Martha Reeves with a bit of sound advice........
  5. I use a Sony PSHX500 turntable. It outputs high resolution audio, and you can decide between WAV or DSD file format. Connect to your PC via USB, use Sony's own software to record and edit the sound file, then burn to CD if required. Sounds great through a HiFi..... https://www.whathifi.com/sony/ps-hx500/review
  6. A nice barbeque would cheer her up.
  7. Is that artificial grass, Baz?
  8. Doesn't seem like he had a very happy childhood.
  9. Not forgetting the alternative second line of the chorus, which makes the song even sadder.
  10. A bit of teenage angst from Darrow Fletcher - My Young Misery......
  11. Precisions - Such Misery......
  12. Tough one. As much as I love the Artistics, the more uptempo arrangement on Johnny's version suits the song better. You believe that the chase is on.
  13. Very close indeed. So, is it a case of Dusty means Dusty, or will there be a second referendum?
  14. Home Alone 4 - Lost In Skegness.

  17. On arrival at the venue, make yourself known to the local Soul Police representative. Show him / her the bootleg(s) you are intending to play, along with the original(s). Please note that only three Original Backed Bootlegs (OBBs) can be played per one hour DJ spot, so plan your playlist accordingly. On payment of the £20 administration fee you will be issued with your permit (non-transferrable) and you're good to go. PM me for a list of inspectors and venues. WANTED - Soul Inspectors. For a small registration fee, you can issue OBB permits to DJs at venues in your area on a commission basis.
  18. I told you, cried the DJ, That the record was a boot, It wasn't original vinyl but still you played it out Oh shut up silly DJ, do you think I give a sh*t You knew damn well I'd play it out before you sold me it.
  19. Soussan produced a vocal version of JWIMS by Charisma and the Fantasy Orchestra, but that was late 70's. I won't post it up as you probably haven't recovered from my earlier post.
  20. You're welcome. The search continues.
  21. I know it's definitely not this....
  22. Edwin any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Much more convincing vocal performance.
