I would have loved to hear something like the Apollas last Saturday night to break up the relentless non-stop stompers one DJ played for his entire set.

Went to see Quadrophenia as an 18 year old when it first came out, and wasn't the least bit compelled to dress like a Mod, so I can't see a huge surge in sales of baggy trousers. Quadrophenia was part of a double bill with Scum, back in the day when you used to get two main features for your money. Now that did put me off going in greenhouses for a while.

Taking scans of everything would be a good move as well, with your name on the scan.

Wouldn't a permanent UV marker pen be a safer option, and less likely to devalue the vinyl?

Lost a few of those badges when I had a bag nicked at the Casino. Still got a mint Oldies Farewell Nighter badge. Can't believe someone paid £112 for one three weeks ago.

It was very much down to the acoustics and the sound system. I think it will make all the difference seeing it in the cinema on a decent sized screen and a proper Dolby sound system, or even a decent home cinema system. I'm going to reserve my judgement until I've watched it again on a proper set up.

Had a pair of Dunlop Green Flash back in the mid 70s, which were really comfy with stacks of grip but were a bugger to keep clean. Just looked on line for a pair, and Dunlop do them in loads of different colours now, and I can't believe they're less than a tenner.

Can't take any credit for the Huddersfield showing, but I'm going to ask my local cinema about a screening. Given the manager is my oldest lad's best mate I'm quietly confident.

Shoe count at the mo for me with that latest pair leather soles only is The royals,two pair of ordinary brouges one black one brown,one pair of "real,original leather loafers brown,one pair of bas Weegan loafer like shoes brown,one pair of gibson lace ups plain black with toe cap.brouges are loakes and churches, one pair of original style solatios black.most of the time I wear trainers,those sketchers(I like them for casual have quite a few pairs)or various other non leather sole shoes.The leather soles are kept for soling and getting smart formal dressed only apart from the very few occassions .

I can remember when bowling shoes were de rigueur. Just wear an old pair of flip flops to the bowling alley and come out with a pair of leather two tone bowling shoes.
