    Interesting article. I can remember the big move away from valve technology to solid state components. The only people who kept making valves were the Soviets, as they weren't affected by electromagnetic pulses. Still used in a lot of high end hi-fi amps because of the warmer sound.

    There's also the problem of early doors in the summer, when the venue doesn't have any decent black out curtains / blinds.

    Don't know if you've ordered it, but Envivo do one for a lot less, available on Amazon for about £11. Got one for £7 when Aldi were selling them off. Comes with a 3 year warranty.
