  1. Sounds like "Sam, You Should Have Been A Man".
  2. Hipster Buddy from JML. Available at Morrisons, Tesco, Asda. and Wilko. Only £9.99.
  3. Very impressive set up. Let's hope it's the first of many new pressing plants.
  4. Just looking at my youngest lad's photos on his Facebook page, and this one from about 18 months ago really stood out. It's taken on Great Mell Fell...
  5. You know what they say, Steve. Once bittern......

    Save the Ritz

I have withdrawn my patronage of the Ritz Hotel in protest, and signed the petition.
  7. Do you manage to fill all those venues, Kev? Need to update my setup.....
  8. Wasn't expecting to see the Great North Air Ambulance on the local play area on my way home this afternoon....
  9. I don't envy you having to park your arse on that cold saddle. It was a balmy 4 degrees when I climbed into my car on Sunday morning after attending a local soul night.
  10. Steve, I normally walk along the River Eamont between Eamont Bridge and Brougham. Might take my camera along next time so watch this space.
  11. I regularly see at least one heron when I take the dog for a walk. Apparently there's five along the stretch of river we walk along. Plenty of times I've thought to myself, I wish I had a camera with me.
  12. Night Owl - Bobby Paris
  13. Job Opening - Del Larks
  14. Ordinary Joe - Terry Callier. You'll have to wait almost 3 minutes (2.57 to be precise) before he mentions the title. Mind you, the song is 4 minutes 10 seconds long.
  15. Thanks Peter, PM sent.
  16. We had the group painting wooden hearts this morning. Alan, who's Downs Syndrome, talks for Britain, mostly about food. I normally buy a packet of biscuits for them, and the last few weeks it's been Rocky bars. Alan asked if I could get some Orange Clubs for this week, as they're his favourite.
  17. Thanks Peter. Yes, I am. She's very good with the customers. What you can't see from the photo and video is that there are four wheels in a line. When there's four people throwing a pot each, Kathryn has to talk them all through and show them the process, and keep an eye on everybody's pot to make sure there's no disasters. I'm in the shop with her tomorrow morning as we have a special needs group in for an hour. My sister is one of the carers and she brings a group of eight in. We do a range of crafts with them and they really enjoy it.
  18. White and terracotta earthenware clay in the shop. Only handbuilding tends to be with the kid's clubs and the special needs group that visit once a week, and that's mostly pinch pots and coil pots. Raku firing looks fun but I don't know anywhere local that does it. There's an electric kiln in the shop, with two separate plug in controllers, one is set up for firing clay and the other for firing glaze. Kathryn's self taught on the potter's wheel and the hand building techniques she picks up online. I'm sure she could knock up a bonsai pot for you, and give it a personalised paint job.
  19. My daughter Kathryn showing off on the potter's wheel.... .....and the video.....
  20. Here's Gene talking about it....
  21. Chester relaxing in his bed.....
  22. Radio 2 have been giving Hifi Sean a lot of plays, but somebody must have told the Ginger Whinger about the real deal.
