  9. I bought this copy of the Brotherhood 45 "When You Need Me" a while back ..not sure about the group line up but the tune was recorded in Ann Arbor Michigan, and the autograph from Carl (G)rimes with his phone number is addressed to nearby Detroit legend Emanuel Lasky! It's a truly awesome 45 as well..
  10. I had one of Soussan's early vinyl boots of the Salvadors that looked real enough, the label colour seemed spot on.. I sold it (declared as a suspected boot) at the Hinckley nighter in the late 80's for about £15. Wish I'd kept it now but I certainly wouldn't have played it as OV...
  11. This sad, sad, news has had a profound effect on so many people and not just within the House fraternity. Frankie Knuckles was instrumental in developing and broadening the face of dance music to such a degree that many dyed in the wool soul fans welcomed the change with open arms and minds. "It's Hard Sometimes" was one of the tunes that Fish and I played one pivotal night at Thorne that was intended as a unification of musical styles but unfortunately had a devisive effect for some people, how tunes like this could not be accepted as true, modern soul bemuses me to this day. Downstairs at Bradford Queens Hall was as Jocko rightfully recalls a game changing venue. Barry May and the rest of the gang embraced the change and Frankie's lush Def Mix productions were a key, constituent part contributing to one of the most enlightening periods of my life. Having been lucky enough to also see the great man DJ live on a number of occasions each time was a spiritual, soulful experience I will never forget. Frankie Knuckles legacy is the tunes and productions that will far outlive other transient music styles and will be listened to and loved, not just by this generation. RIP Frankie
  12. Not sure, but it looks like a legit release to me? Just checked John's website and no first release copy for sale...

  16. I think that's the acid test Mark! However I believe the first press has a flat edge and the 2nd press (looking at my copy) has a bevelled, rounded edge. Not much difference as you say Ted. Prophonics, please get back to me by PM if it fits the bill.. Cheers Pete
  17. First press only please with flat edge not 2nd press PM with reasonable price and condition Cheers Pete
