  1. cheers, didn't too bad as I also bagged a Sheppards WD with the original Mira mailer from the collection the same day, both were a very very good price
  2. It was probably the BIN copy that was up for auction, it had been sitting there for at least a couple of years as it was about when I got my copy from the Louise Neal collection
  3. Someone got a deal with Kell Osborne, GTOs was about on the money but thought it would've done a bit more
  4. Looking for an LP called Alive and Well in VG+ or better condition - message me with price and condition
  5. I’d keep my Cash McCall when you wake up, purely just because it’s me and my wife’s song...
  6. For me it would have to be the Tan Geers version of This Empty Place, absolutely haunting and would love to have been there when that was recorded. There are a few records I’d like to have been there to have pulled the plug on as well though like Mickey Moonshine
  7. Only ever seen the originals
  8. As someone noted earlier, NS was a youth culture, it’s just sadly been left in the hands of old men...
  9. One of my favourite records, and the other side is quite simply divine
  10. Folk on here seriously need to get out at the weekends...any media interpretation of the scene will always be bollocks, move on and just keep going out to the venues where the real deal is still happening...
  11. Played See you in LA LP version tonight as my ender
  12. Are the two votes for Spooky and Sue by Spooky and Sue?
  13. If you ever need Andy on here he's under Dennisoul
  14. Still some to be had, all the "popular" stuff is going for silly money but still a few nice cheaper things out there. Only buy from the US now if I'm really after something and even then tend to get a few things from the same sellers to ease the postage costs
  15. There's some definite game playing on the FB pricing sites, with people inflating values gaining a consensus and then selling them a few months down the line.
  16. Have sent you a message Chloe
  17. Everyone's a DJ nowadays
  18. Well said Chalky
  19. That's pretty shit with regards to having to pay entrance fee. I know when I promote I always pay the DJs and put them up as well if they're traveling, as I appreciate their time and effort. Most places where I've played have done the same but not all, if I can kip in a spare room or they sort a hotel I'm happy as it reduces my travel costs. But that's a whole different mine field, I saw some outrageous demands by a so called "big name" DJ on FB last week, another one tying to live off his reputation from the 70s.
  20. Ouch
  21. Just curious at the initial question Ian - have you as a DJ been asked to pay into events you're playing at or have you as a promoter asked a DJ to pay into events you've put on?
  22. Pet hate while we're talking about DJs, the guys who turn up just before their spot and leave straight afterwards. Total disrespect to the event and other guys playing.
